TTT: S'möres-gåsbord

Tuesday, December 1, 2020

Happy December, My Lovelies!  La Countess de Monet has been such a good helper for me as we prepare for all the Christmas fun.  We still haven't traveled much (with the exception being Baton Rouge), and we will be going back this month for our oldest daughter's graduation from her doctoral program.

One of my favorite markets is the Mount Laurel Grocery.  La Countess accompanied me a couple of weeks ago while I was buying goodies for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

La Countess likes to hang out on our patio by the fireplace.  She's reminding me to remind Mr. Sketchy Reader to split more wood!

La Countess is full with all the things to make...

S'mores!

My family likes choices, so I created a S'möres-gåsbord of treats!
I placed the combinations in cellophane bags with ribbon and gift tags labeling the type of s'more.  This made it convenient for everyone to make the s'mores because everything to make one was together in a single serve bag.

Here are the different s'mores flavor combinations:

Plain Jane
marshmallows, honey graham crackers, and Hershey bars

Cinnamon Cindy
marshmallows, cinnamon graham crackers, and Hershey bars

Cocoa Coco
marshmallows, chocolate graham crackers, and Hershey bars

Peppermint Barkley
marshmallows, honey graham crackers, peppermint bark

Peppermint Patti
marshmallows, chocolate graham crackers, Hershey bars

My sweet son-in-law Christopher likes spending his time outside when he's in Alabama.

Do your family and friends enjoy bonfires and roasting marshmallows?  We love this time of the year, and we enjoy eating alfresco on warmer days.

  2. That 'smores-gasbord's a great idea, and La Countess did a supreme job of toting the important stuff! I'll have a Peppermint Barkley, please. So glad Shanley Belle gets to actually HAVE a ceremony for her PhD completion. Enjoy and stay safe!

  9. We are celebrating a month of "Light the World" too - wonderful scripture!!
What fun s'mores packs and creative flavors. I would have to have a bite of them all. We love making them - indoors and outdoors. Fortunately the kids know not to just throw the burned ones like the do outside!!!

  11. Oh yummy, I love your gourmet s'mores! What a great idea to make individual flavor serving packets! I would choose Peppermint Barkley! We certainly started off December with a blast of cold weather to get us in the holiday spirit! I must check out the Mt. Laurel Grocery sometime, local markets are the best! Happy December RJ!
