The Candle of Hope
Happy First Sunday of Advent, Lovelies!
As I've done in the past, I will share Sunday Scripture during the Advent Season. On the first Sunday, the candle represents hope, the promises that the prophets shared and the hope we have in Christ.
"But let your hand be upon the one at your right hand, the one whom you made strong for yourself. Then we will never turn back from you; give us life, and we will call on your name. Restore us, O LORD God of hosts; let your face shine, that we may be saved."
Psalm 80:17-19
The Advent Season provides us with the opportunity to stop stressing and getting wrapped-up in the hustle and bustle of the season by slowing down and focusing on God's gift of his Son, his obedient Son who was sent from heaven to take the form of a man so that we might believe.
This year during Advent, I will also share five easy crafts along with Sunday Scripture. My first craft post will be on December 1st. I also have a theme this year: Dark to Light. We were told that it would be a dark winter, but I have hope in the one who gave-up his life for me. Jesus is the Light of the World, and I place my faith and trust in him.
This year's Advent Theme
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”John 8:12
Until next time...
Blessings!
