TTT: S'möres-gåsbord

Tuesday, December 1, 2020

Happy December, My Lovelies!  La Countess de Monet has been such a good helper for me as we prepare for all the Christmas fun.  We still haven't traveled much (with the exception being Baton Rouge), and we will be going back this month for our oldest daughter's graduation from her doctoral program.

One of my favorite markets is the Mount Laurel Grocery.  La Countess accompanied me a couple of weeks ago while I was buying goodies for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

La Countess likes to hang out on our patio by the fireplace.  She's reminding me to remind Mr. Sketchy Reader to split more wood!

La Countess is full with all the things to make...

My family likes choices, so I created a S'möres-gåsbord of treats!
I placed the combinations in cellophane bags with ribbon and gift tags labeling the type of s'more.  This made it convenient for everyone to make the s'mores because everything to make one was together in a single serve bag.

Here are the different s'mores flavor combinations:

Plain Jane
marshmallows, honey graham crackers, and Hershey bars

Cinnamon Cindy
marshmallows, cinnamon graham crackers, and Hershey bars

Cocoa Coco
marshmallows, chocolate graham crackers, and Hershey bars

Peppermint Barkley
marshmallows, honey graham crackers, peppermint bark

Peppermint Patti
marshmallows, chocolate graham crackers, Hershey bars

My sweet son-in-law Christopher likes spending his time outside when he's in Alabama.

Do your family and friends enjoy bonfires and roasting marshmallows?  We love this time of the year, and we enjoy eating alfresco on warmer days.

Below is this month's giveaway.  Sarah is hosting!

  1. Your s'mores sound delish - we tried a variety of combos when we were in the mountains in Sept....we all probably gained a few pounds!! I love how you have stored and labeled them - great idea! Enjoy this season and hopefully we will have some travels soon....Congrats to Shanley Belle - what an accomplishment!

  2. That 'smores-gasbord's a great idea, and La Countess did a supreme job of toting the important stuff! I'll have a Peppermint Barkley, please. So glad Shanley Belle gets to actually HAVE a ceremony for her PhD completion. Enjoy and stay safe!

  3. This is so cute. I love how you tied them off too. So sweet and cute. Smores are sooo yummy. Congrats to your daughter for her upcoming graduation. Such a great accomplishment. xoxo

  4. I love s'mores and seeing the different combinations is a joy. I love the packaging. La Countess de Monetlooks right at home with the firewood and of course she is great for shopping. Happy Holidays dear friend. Hugs

  5. I love it.. what a fun idea. Thank you for sharing. I am pinning.

  6. RJ, I'm a fan of s'mores! Your idea of packaging up the different options is clever, and I love the loaf pan! I use mine frequently! Happy Holidays!

  7. Oh RJ, I have to get the grocery at Mt Laurel! I love your idea of creating a grab and go bag for s'mores and a choice of flavors. Love the presentation too. Let's hope things are back to normal soon, know how you miss your travels. I know you are enjoying this special season. Have a wonderful Christmas season........Hope we can resume our visits next year!

  8. My family and friends enjoy bonfires and roasting marshmallows. Stealing your idea for cellophane wrapped goodies for the s'mores. Don't tell Joe but I got him a s'mores gift for Christmas.

  9. We are celebrating a month of "Light the World" too - wonderful scripture!!
What fun s'mores packs and creative flavors. I would have to have a bite of them all. We love making them - indoors and outdoors. Fortunately the kids know not to just throw the burned ones like the do outside!!!

  10. I've only ever had The traditional Smores. What fun combinations you came up with!

  11. Oh yummy, I love your gourmet s'mores! What a great idea to make individual flavor serving packets! I would choose Peppermint Barkley! We certainly started off December with a blast of cold weather to get us in the holiday spirit! I must check out the Mt. Laurel Grocery sometime, local markets are the best! Happy December RJ!

  12. It's so nice to have an attractive and functional shopping companion -- and a fine place to shop. Loved all the goodies and photos!

  13. Wow, Ricki I would love to have a peppermint bark smore. I've only had the tradtional one. Glad to hear about other choices.
Very cute idea to make individual bags ahead of time.
