Random October

Tuesday, October 13, 2015

Happy Tuesday!  It's time for more randomness....but with a little bit of an October theme.

1.   Apparently Finlay has decided that he can't nap unless he's sleeping on a pillow.  Here, he's on the swinging bed in the classroom.

2.   Are you looking ahead to CHRISTMAS BAKING yet?   I love the look of these vintage sugars and sprinkles.  I found these at The Fresh Market.

3.   I'm loving the stippled look of my late season rose trees.  So pretty!

4.   I won, I won, I WON!  Check out the booty I won from Mary's giveaway @ Home Is Where The Boat Is.  I love the skeletal servers, Halloween napkins and straw, dog treats for Finlay, candy eyeballs, pie pocket press, and Halloween potholder.  Come back Thursday and see the projects I'll make with some of them!

5.   Check out my new Etsy crush.  The artist sells cards and prints from her original oil paintings.  I love her loose style!  You can check out Amy's Etsy store HERE.

6.   Vanessa @ A Fanciful Twist is hosting a Witch's Tea Party.  Will you be there?  I can't wait....*squee*

7.   I want to carve a few pumpkins like the one below.  How much fun is that!?!?  I just started a Halloween board, BTW's......You can see it on Pinterest HERE.

8.   Last but not least, if you've been blessed enough to attend an NFL game this month, then maybe you've seen my Zeta Tau Alpha (Zeta) sisters passing out pink ribbons.

Support Zeta's partnership with the NFL....
it's a CRUCIAL CATCH!

Until next time...

Blessings!

  1. I am SO looking forward to holiday baking this year. I think it's because we're actually doing a budget, so I can allow myself money for baking and wrapping supplies without worrying about paying the bills.

  6. RJ, so happy you were one of the winners @ Mary's giveaway. She is always beyond generous. I've been on the receiving end more than once. Mary is a very special lady! Can't wait to see what you cook up.
Finlay is adorable snoozing away. Sadie is spread out on the sofa next to me as I type. ;-)
Thanks for the heads-up about the party at Fanciful Twist. Sounds like fun!

  9. Ricki,
Cute post and congrats on your win. Finlay is so adorable on his pillow and I'm sure he's enjoying his doggie treats you won. Your Rose is absolutely gorgeous. The witches tea party sounds like fun, I'll be visiting and checking it out. Holiday baking I love, last year I discovered chunky white glittery sprinkles and when they were applied to the star cookies they looked like ice crystals had formed. Love the vintage look of your sprinkles and bottles and I would display them like décor until baking time.
    xx,
    Vera

  10. This is such a great post of randoms. I do love the Vintage Christmas sugar sprinkles and the rose I agree is absolutely beautiful. Congratulations on your win! Your Finlay is so adorable. I had such high hopes to participate in this tea party but I do not have enough time with everything else I want to get done this month. I had to cross it off my list, next year, I am taking a day off just to prep and participate. I will enjoy by joining your party and visiting the others.

The pumpkin looks beautiful.. we always do the jack o lantern face..or get a silly spooky stencil. might have to do a pretty pumpkin this year.
We've not been able to attend any games yet, it's a shame too cause we live pretty close to the stadium..you never know though :)
