Happy Tuesday, My Lovelies! Today I'm sharing with y'all my Americana Tablescape for Summer. There are seventeen total stylists participating in this Summer Tablescape Blog Hop hosted by my friend Rita from the Panoply blog. If you're blog hopping in order, then your list visit was at the Mantel and Table blog.
Thanks so much for hosting these parties, Rita. They are always so much fun!
One day recently in my inbox I saw a fun Americana napkin set from Terrain. I loved all four patterns, and as a MacKenzie-Childs collector, I've always enjoyed mixing patterns. These napkins were my inspiration for this table. I also purchased the Americana banner as well. You can see it in the background of the photo below.
I enjoy using red, white, and blue in tablescapes and other decor. Our classroom/library is painted red, and I used shades of blues, whites and a little red in the upholstery and pillows. I'm a proud American, and I love our country. I like showcasing our patriotism in our decor.
I have been collecting some of the MacKenzie-Childs Limited Edition Collectors' Mugs.
The one above with the little gold star is the June 2025 mug.
Above are the four plate stacks with the four different napkins. The star-shaped placemats are all the same. I chose Mackenzie-Childs patterns with blues, reds, greens, and yellows to match my table runner. I also coordinated mugs with the napkins and plate stacks.
Because our breakfast room table is rather narrow, I chose the MacKenzie-Childs Royal Stripe top hat bud vase. The centerpiece features white spray roses, baby's breath, a mophead hydrangea, red roses, and Aloha Blue Ageratum. I purchased the flowers at Bloom and Petal, a local florist.
I almost always use red roses on patriotic or Americana tablescapes because the red rose is our national flower.
This is an overhead view of the table. I have it set for breakfast with bowls, plates, and mugs.
Our breakfast room table has a maple cutting board top, and it has been indestructible. We have enjoyed many family meals tucked around this table.
For many years I have enjoyed using a couple of Taylor patterns in patriotic tablescapes: King Ferry (ruffled luncheon plate) and Stoke Gabriel (berry bowl). I have more pieces from these two patterns because I use them a lot with red, white, and blue settings. They are two of my favorite patterns.
I hope you enjoyed your visit today! If you're going in order, my blog is the last one on the list. Thanks for your perseverance! If you would like to go back and visit a few of your favorites, below is the list and links for all participants.

ReplyDeleteI don’t know where to begin. I love everything about this table. That dinnerware is fabulous, the footed mugs are wonderful, but I have to say that those star shaped placemats really blew me away. What a brilliant idea for something with a patriotic theme. My mother was big into tablesetting, I think I got that gene from her. She was a wonderful seamstress, and I can totally see her making these. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteRikki Jill, your patriotic table is both beautiful and festive. You have so many wonderful MacKenzie Child’s pieces. The runner is so striking with your pretty floral centerpiece. I adore the mix of napkins with the sweet ruffle trim. I hope that you have a wonderful summer!

ReplyDeleteRicki Jill, I always enjoy seeing your MKC ceramics collection in your hutch, what a treat to see it at your table! Love the whimsy of the star placemats and ruffled edge napkins that mimic your fluted plate and bowl edges. I’m a big fan of mixing and matching patterns too. Once again, it’s a treat to join you at the table and hop with you. Happy June!❤️π€π
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Those Terrain patterns are fantastic! What a great springboard for your Americana theme! And those placemats from last year - love those too. Tell me, what is the pattern of the first bowl (and mug on the table to match)? Is that a Wallcourt pattern? I have several pieces of King Ferry also, and really like using them in spring/summer months, both on the table and as decor. Your mix of patterns is so free and fabulous, RIcki Jill. A true artist at work. Your watercolor art splashed through the post is also brilliant. Thank you for bringing your artist's hand of magic to the summer blog hop. I admire your style!

ReplyDeleteHello Friend, it is beautiful. I too am proud to be American. Happy Birthday America!!!
ReplyDeleteRikki Jill, I always enough your mixture of patterns. You have some great pieces that when put together reminds me of the lovely handsewn quilt. Totally a representation of heartwarming love of family and country. I can definitely relate to the summer feel of this homespun tablescape. It displays so much of summer. Who didn't see such mixture of patterns at a picnic or a laudry line as mom washed and dried the patchwork quilt before the holiday. There is so much "home" and "summer" in your table design along with holiday celebration. Enjoy your lovely table for the summer.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun table, Ricki Jill. Mixing patterns in dinnerware and napkins creates a summery vibe of kids playing outside in the garden, summer dinners outside with the grill going and happy faces everywhere. Love your Mackenzie Childs collection. It's so nice to use fomenting you love and then share it with others. Wishing you a wonderful summer.
ReplyDeleteLynne, Thrifting Wonderland
I love how you captured the Americana theme with your lovely pieces of MC, simply darling! I always enjoy seeing your collection, you have so many, and they all work so well together. You were very smart to go with "any and all patterns" for your wedding selection. Lovely photography RJ.......Happy Summer!

Ricki Jill, this is a perfect way to kick off our summer months ahead. Like you, I enjoy using patriotic colors and decor throughout the summer months. Your new set of napkins are charmers! Love the ruffled edges and that each one is a different fabric. I like to mix things up too! Of course the Taylor ceramics are long some of my favorites as they are what started us down the rabbit hole of MacKenzie-Childs. I have my petite top hat royal blue vase filled with blooms! We are so fortunate to have these pieces to use daily. Best way to live with a collection! Have a grand summer, dear friend!
