So fun, and you have achieved your beach feel goal, the sea glass is a perfect addition. Your book club must have enjoyed that meeting!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy that you have finished your treatments! Well done you!!! And everything looks lovely. A beach read....and a trip to the beach sounds lovely. I like Mary Kay Andrews so I'll choose her book! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteAs an avid reader and someone who doesn't get to the beach often, I just love your fun theme! Your floral bookends are such a pretty way to highlight the books and your beachy accents are lovely--pinned! Blessings, Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction
ReplyDeleteRJ, I am so happy to hear you rang the bell! You have gracefully persevered and I admire you.
ReplyDeleteYour book club was very nice. Lovely menu and great table. Your setting and your beautiful dishes and accessories are beautiful.
Ricki Jill, I love your tablescape theme…so “you”! I love how you paired the colors and patterns of your MKC plates with your abstract beach umbrella placemats. Everyone needs a good juicy beach read so I’d probably choose Mary Kay Andrews. We haven’t been to the beach in years as our lake fills in with waterviews, but there’s nothing like the ocean breeze and sound of the surf. Congrats on your milestone and completion of chemo! So happy to hop with you again. Happy Summer ♥
ReplyDelete🎉🎉🎉🙌🙌🙌Cheers to ringing that bell! You are officially a super woman! A beach reading book club meeting sounds like the next best thing to actually being there, and I choose either Vacationland or Hello, Summer, simply for the covers. Love those placemats and runner, and I can totally see your reasoning for choosing those. And the plates too. That one pattern in the swirl (don't know its name) reminds me of a beach umbrella. Love your theme, menu, and execution at the tabletop. I'm so glad you participated in this and all the hops so far. Happy summer!!🎉🎉
ReplyDeleteRicki Jill, I am so happy that you rang the bell and have completed the chemo! I love your table and the vase bookends are perfect for your theme, a very creative idea. The menu sounds delicious, I can just taste the lavender shortbread. I love a good beach read, but like you I haven’t been to the beach in a few years. It is a treat to hop with you…Happy Summer!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on ringing the bell Ricki. It’s been a tough road, but you have made it. Love your beach inspired tablescape. I adore aqua, it just feels beachy.Your collections from MKC always amaze me. Those are fabulous plates. Your menu sounds delicious, especially the lemon bars. Enjoy your summer. Always a pleasure joining you,
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun and perfect theme for a summer table!! Who doesn't love a good beach read, and I always say if you can't get to the beach, bring the beach to you with decor and beachy things. I am crazy about your beach umbrella placemats, so cute! They look great with all your pretty MKC plates! LOVE the centerpiece of books with the flower filled bookend vases, so adorable! The menu sounds perfect too...I am so happy chemo is behind you, you have been so brave and positive!! I'm so glad you were able to join in today! ❤️

Your last treatment is a big step forward. Prayers that the healing continues, and you have many more years to celebrate! Your tablescape picture showing the bookcase is really delightful. I'm always reading two to three books at a time, so featuring them center stage on the table is wonderful. The beach umbrella placematsI pretty plates and table rummer are perfect.Yea for summer!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on ringing the bell Ricki. So proud of you and your strength! Love your beach inspired tablescape. Your collections from MKC always bring me joy. Enjoy your summer.

ReplyDeleteI’m so happy that your chemo is behind you and you rang the bell! That’s the best news, Ricki Jill! How wonderful for you to set such a pretty beach themed table with your pretty things. By looking at the covers, I would choose Hello, Summer. You’re still in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on that bell!! That's wonderful. It's a great way to start the summer off...and so is your pretty table and your book list. xxoo
ReplyDeleteAs a book lover and beach lover, I enjoyed your tablescape very much! Congrats on finishing chemo.
ReplyDeleteFirst and most important, I am so happy to hear you have competed your chemo Ricki Jill! Oh my, such a joyous occasion at the end of an arduous journey. I'm so sorry you've had to go through this! Your table and theme are also a joy --- such a happy, beach color palette of blue and yellow. And, that menu, yum! I've never had lavender shortbread and it sounds wonderful! Let us know how "Adult Assembly Required" turns out. I'm intrigued and could use a good read, distraction. Wishing you the happiest of summers.
ReplyDeleteYay on ringing the bell. You have come through this with such grace. So proud of you to finish this part of the journey. Your table scape is gorgeous. I love all the light pastel colors and you do get a beach vibe. xoxo Kris
ReplyDeleteCheers to completing chemo! You have been a trooper through all of this. I know you are eager to move on. I'm so happy and excited that this is behind you. Of course I adore your table with the MKC ceramics, and the theme is a great idea. No beach trips for us, but I can pretend. Have a delightful summer, sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteSo happy you are finished with the chemo. Wishing you all the best. The tablescape is so summery and a beautiful mix of blue and yellow. It evokes that relaxed summer vibe. Great choice.

Congratulations my dear on ringing that bell. LOVE YOU!
ReplyDeleteAnd love the idea of your tablescape and menu.
Such a cute idea!!! I love your book ends!! that shot of your MKC pitcher with the plates behind it is beautiful! Congratulations on finishing your chemo and ringing that bell. I wish you strength and wellness from here on out. I hope you have a wonderful summer and a happy beach trip!!☀️🏖
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear that you finished your chemo and you are moving on to feeling and doing all the fun things you have on a list. The beach would definitely be on the top of my list too. However, I felt like I was at the beach already by sitting at your beach themed table. I love your use of pastel and very tranquil colors. I always hoped to have a book club gathers but live in such a rural area where only few take interest in reading. The menu sounds delicious and the table would be so relaxing and inspiring. Best wishes for good health, your trip to the beach and more of your beautiful tables.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations from me also.....................
ReplyDeleteA post full of wonderful photos
Those plates on those fabulously fun placemats! Love the vase bookends! Just the things to kick back, relax and enjoy light summer reading (in my case, entertaining mysteries). This will certainly be a fun gathering for you and the book club, and a great way to celebrate!
ReplyDeleteRicki Jill, first, congratulations on your important milestone. I hope that you have smooth sailing from here on. I love the idea of a tablescape set with a book club theme. I’m an avid reader, too. And I think this is such an original idea. Your blue and yellow color scheme is always a classic and just right for summertime reading. No better place to read than on the beach. Hope you get there soon.
ReplyDeleteRikki Jill...love your table and your little table on the table...how clever you are and your table is so inviting. It is always great table hopping with you Kari @ Me and My Captain
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the last chemo treatment! May you be blessed now with good health! Your sweet tablescape is just delightful!
ReplyDeleteRicki Jill, congratulations on ringing the bell and completing your chemo. Your tablescape is so beautiful and perfect for a book club gathering. I love your dining table and chairs. It is so pretty! The menu you have planned looks scrumtious! Wishing you lots of good health and a most happy and blessed summer!
ReplyDeleteRicki Jill not sure what happened to my comment but I will do another. I hear ya on the chemo....I had almost 10 months of chemo and radiation to rid my body of Pancreatic cancer. It consisted of 4 different chemos and I not only had it pumping through me at the Florida cancer center for 5 hours every other week but I took a pump home with me and had to have it pumping into me for 3 more days. It really made me sick and I couldn't get out of bed and by the time I would start feeling a little better, it was time to start all over. BUT it was worth it as God brought me through this very dark period of my life. I am so glad you were able to ring the bell, I still have not done that although I have thanked all my caretakers profusely as they were so patient with me. You are in my prayers. Your tablescape is lovely and I understand your desire for beaches and sunshine. Bless you!!! Kari @ Me and My Cptain
ReplyDeleteRicki Jill, Congrats on ringing the bell! I'll be praying for your continued good health. I love your beaches and books theme! The umbrella placemats are so fun and look great with your MacKenzie Childs plates. The little table in the middle makes a perfect centerpiece with the books and flowers. I'm totally crushing over those English wine cups with the blue stripe. Thanks for the summer reading suggestions, too! It was fun hopping with you. Happy Summer!
