Tea for Three
11" X 14"
Oil on oil primed linen

Happy Christmas Eve Eve, My Lovelies!  I finally finished the painting, above.  I'm so happy it's done!  I haven't achieved much else lately, LOL!

Today's Chrismon:

 fleur de lis
This flower-like symbol represents the Virgin Mary.  I always thought it represented the trinity, but I was mistaken!

Today's scripture:

After this interview the wise men went their way. And the star they had seen in the east guided them to Bethlehem. It went ahead of them and stopped over the place where the child was.  When they saw the star, they were filled with joy!  They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

When it was time to leave, they returned to their own country by another route, for God had warned them in a dream not to return to Herod.

Matthew 2:9-12

  1. Your painting is outstanding, Ricki Jill! Love today's Chrismon too. I've been in the kitchen all day, baking almond pound cakes and a sweet potato casserole for tomorrow and Christmas morning. Merry Christmas Eve Eve!

  2. Your painting is out of this world. I thought for a moment it was a real cup! I baked yesterday (one epic fail, one success) and now -- the celebration begins!

    Merry Christmas Eve!
