Autumn Container Gardens 2021

Tuesday, October 5, 2021

I love the bright red of the coleus leaves.

Happy Tuesday, My Lovelies!  I promised you in yesterday's Front Yard Reveal post I'd share with you our autumn container gardens.   With have several steps leading to our front door, and we placed a couple of mums and another container there.

The marigolds are budding but haven't bloomed.  They will last longer than you'd think here in Central Alabama.

We will replace the mums with pansies once they're spent.

Mustang Sally loves this little container!

We placed three containers on the front porch with pansies, marigolds, coleus, creeping Jenny, ferns, and grasses.

There are several marigold buds in this container, too.

I'll add more pansies to the containers later in the season.

Resource:  Rocket's Bug Juice Gardens are the geniuses behind these containers.

Question:  Do you think I should add pumpkins to our steps or front porch?  Please let me know in comments!

Until next time...

Blessings!
Ricki Jill

  1. Pumpkins will look fabulous with your colorful blooms! Ours are all dying off as the nights are chilly and the days are short!

  2. This is inspiring as I refresh my own containers. I'm ready to add some pansy and viola, but haven't seen them yet. I'm also looking for baskets of orange zinnia. Happy October!
