September {Vintage} Surprise from Prudence and the Crow

Tuesday, October 3, 2017

Good morning, My Lovelies!

I confess I needed a little pick me up today.  When I woke up I had a special delivery from England:  Prudence and the Crow Vintage Book Subscription Box.  It did help me smile a little.

Special delivery from England!  I love the pretty stamps!
Let's take a look at what's inside...

All kinds of goodness!  Check it out!

The postcards have reading lists for both Prudence and The Crow.

I can't wait to try these teas.  Twinings Fudge Melts?  Yes, please!!!

I really like The Crow's Spring 2017 Reading List!

I think that The Crow is my soul mate!

I love how all the vintage books are encased in a fabric sleeve.  So cute!

Okay so I've never heard of this book before:  Billy Liar by Keith Waterhouse.  I read the blurb, and it sounds like fun!

I order subscription boxes from time to time, and so do my daughters.  But the one I keep going back to is this one.  I like the smell of the old books.  I also love the teas, candy, interesting ephemera, reading lists, and fabric book sleeves.

Have you tried subscription boxes?  If so, which ones?

Until next time...

Blessings!
Ricki Jill

  1. You are a bad influence on me with the subscription boxes, Ricki Jill! I have tried Art Snax and Sketch Box, so much fun getting them!! The book ones sound so interesting, and I have a friend that loves Stitch Fix...seems to be the new trend doesn't it!

  2. This looks like a fun distraction from current events. I had a subscription with cosmetics a long time ago, and that was always a treat.

  4. Ricki,
A woman after my own heart... reads old books, loves paper ephemera, lives in Birmingham, AL. My hometown is Huntsville, AL, and my extended family (lots of aunts, uncles, cousins,...) still live in the north Alabama area. We just visited there during August.

  5. I've never even heard of book subscriptions like this! What a cool idea -- I love the whole ephemera thing. I really have to let some of mine go; it's too much. But this is very cool indeed! I'm going to have to check the link -- this could be loads of fun!
