This year I have appreciated simpler Christmas decor on blogs and in magazines.  I will rethink how I decorate next year.  What are your thoughts: Simple Christmas Decor or Over The Top?

Matthew 2:1-2  New International Version (NIV)

The Magi Visit the Messiah

2 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem 2 and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”

Until next time…

Blessings!

  1. Definitely simpler! Done earlier with more time to Follow the Star! If I were decorating for Christmas a month from now I know it would be simpler, but will I stick to that next year? I hope so.

    I've enjoyed these Advent readings!

  3. I guess the name of my blog tells my answer. I haven't done much this year apart from the mantel and sideboard. We are only now getting the tree up and we will decorate it tomorrow so it won't be overdone as it all comes down in a week or so. I'm enjoying your advent calendar.

  4. Hi RJ! So nice to hear from your! I mean to decorate simply but then I tend to go overboard, especially since I have my little grand babies around this year! I wish you a most blessed Christmas with your family.
    Be a sweetie,

  5. I opted for a simpler Christmas this year too. I think that however you decided to decorate, it will still brighten up your soul, life and the holidays. Getting closer.

    Hugs,
