Musical Mondays: My Favorite Songs of 2013

Musical Mondays

Happy (cloudy) Monday, My Lovelies!  We've been in New Orleans visiting family and friends.  We had a great time, but I didn't take many photos because it poured down rain the entire time we were there, practically….*but* we still had fun!

Here's a list (with links) of my favorite songs of 2013.   They're in no particular order.

1.  "Awkward" by San Cisco

2.  "Carried Away" by Passion Pit

3.  "Sweater Weather" by The Neighborhood

4.  "All I Want" by Kodaline

5.  "Head On" by Man Man

6.  "If You Didn't See Me" by Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr.

7.  "Changing of the Seasons" by Two Door Cinema Club

8.  "The Mother We Share" by Chvrches

Nine and Ten I'll include here since I didn't post about them, but they are two of my favorites.

9.   "Pompeii" by Bastille

10.  "Come a Little Closer" by Cage the Elephant

I suppose that my two favorites are "The Mother We Share" and "Changing of the Seasons."

What's your favorite song of 2013?

Until next time…

Ricki Jill

  1. Let me try this again, since my longer comment isn't showing up. "Come A Little Closer" is one of my favorite songs of the year! Glad you got to visit family and friends - how can you NOT have a good time in New Orleans even if it's raining?

  2. It's Monday! That's great that you have a musical list for the year!

  3. I am behind in housework, laundry and reading so I do not have time to listen to your 2013 music right now, but I will be back.

  4. Fascinating. I miss music. Used to listen and love it, but not much now. I hope to work back into it some day.

  5. I particularly like that Cage the Elephants song. I like "Pompeii," but the local radio stations have played it to death around here.

    Happy New Year, my friend!

  6. Oh my gosh...I don't think I have heard any of those songs! I must be stuck in the 80's!
