Good Monday Morning!  We had a wonderful weekend at the lake, and although we didn't listen to tons of music because we were busy doing other things, we did listen to Alt Nation a little.  Jo introduced me to a Scottish band last week,  Biffy Clyro.  And guess what, Jo!?!?!?  We heard Black Chandelier at least three or four times!  ;P

Biffy Clyro Black Chandelier

Not exactly upbeat lyrics, but I do like the song!

Biffy Clyro – Black Chandelier Lyrics

Drip, drip, drip
Drip, drip, drip
Drip, Drip, Drip
Drip, drip, drip
Drip, drip, drip

I shouldn’t laugh, but I know I’m a failure in your eyes
I know its daft, but I guess I know it deep inside
It feels like we’re ready to crack these days, you and I
When it’s just the two of us, only the two of us, I could die

You left my heart like an abandoned car
Old and worn out, no use at all
But I used to be free
We’re gonna separate ourselves tonight
We’re always running scared but holding knives
But there’s a black chandelier
It’s casting shadows and lies

Drip, drip, drip

I’ll sit in silence for the rest of my life if you’d like
Dressing our wounds with industrial gloves made of wire
Feel it penetrating the skin, we begin to relax
When it’s just the two of us, and a cute little cup of cyanide

You left my heart like an abandoned car
Old and worn out, no use at all
But I used to be free

We’re gonna separate ourselves tonight
We’re always running scared but holding knives
But there’s a black chandelier
It’s casting shadows and lies
We’re gonna separate ourselves tonight
We’re always running scared but holding knives
But there’s a black chandelier

You left my heart like an abandoned car
Old and worn out, no use at all
But I used to be free

We’re gonna separate ourselves tonight
We’re always running scared but holding knives
But there’s a black chandelier
It’s casting shadows and lies
We’re gonna separate ourselves tonight
We’re always running scared but holding knives
But there’s a black chandelier
It’s casting shadows and lies

Joss & Main had these for sale over the weekend...I'm being stalked by black chandeliers. Help!

These lovelies are from the Jessie Steele collection.

Until next time...

  3. What fun dishes! Did some of those find their way to your newly pink painted island?
Interesting song. I'm not up on all the current groups. You'd think I was more hip living in Austin. SXSW is going on this week! '-)

  4. It was so quiet around here I listened to the sleet hitting the windows and the wind whipping around the corners of the house. Love those chandy pieces! xo Diana

  10. I love those black chandeliers, perfect for your kitchen. I'm not familiar with this group RJ. I think I need to listen to something besides the oldies :)
