Day #3: Fresh Cut Friday with Primroses and Violets
Nothing expresses the language of love more than flowers. Primroses symbolize "I can't live without you," and white violets symbolize "let's take a chance on happiness." What a great combination of flowers for a marriage proposal, don't you think!
White violets are also special to me because they are my sorority's flower (Zeta Tau Alpha). I love my sisters!
Zeta's symbols include the crown, white violet, and strawberries.
I grow African violets in our home, and of course they are all usually white!
Here are some primroses from one of last year's posts.
Please join Liz @ Rose Vignettes for Fresh Cut Friday!
Until next time...
Blessings!
Ricki Jill
That planter is cute.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful white African Violets! I need to try to grow them again! Your planter is cute and so is the primrose!
ReplyDeleteNever had any luck with violets. Yours are so pretty. Nice to have indoor flowers in the winter.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely violets! Love your primrose and the planter is too pretty.
ReplyDeleteDean's grandma always grew violets in this house. I should get some for my windowsill.
ReplyDeleteI can keep them alive but I never have any luck with getting them to flower. What is your secret?
ReplyDeleteHugs....
I can't hang on to primrose or African violets, either. I stopped buying them even though they are so pretty! Any tips?!

African violets do fantastic in bathrooms because they love the humidity!
ReplyDeleteHi Ricky Jill! What an awesome post. I was never in a Sorority. I kinda feel cheated. :( Our daughter is (was) though and I love hearing all about hers. Their flower is the white carnation. So she was pretty happy about last months FCF. Thanks for the details on the meanings. I ran out of time and had to settle for a quick post. As always thank you for sharing and joining in at FCF! :)
