Day #3:  Fresh Cut Friday with Primroses and Violets

Nothing expresses the language of love more than flowers.  Primroses symbolize "I can't live without you," and white violets symbolize "let's take a chance on happiness."  What a great combination of flowers for a marriage proposal, don't you think!

White violets are also special to me because they are my sorority's flower (Zeta Tau Alpha).  I love my sisters!

Zeta's symbols include the crown, white violet, and strawberries.

I grow African violets in our home, and of course they are all usually white!

Here are some primroses from one of last year's posts.

I have enjoyed my primrose planter over the years.

  8. Hi Ricky Jill! What an awesome post. I was never in a Sorority. I kinda feel cheated. :( Our daughter is (was) though and I love hearing all about hers. Their flower is the white carnation. So she was pretty happy about last months FCF. Thanks for the details on the meanings. I ran out of time and had to settle for a quick post. As always thank you for sharing and joining in at FCF! :)
