Please join Liz at Rose Vignettes for this month's Fresh Cut Friday: Poinsettias.

Right now I have two in the house, both in the foyer.  Closer to Christmas, I will buy two or three plants for our family room in red, but I like to wait because folks usually send us one or two plants for Christmas.

I love the hot pink one and the variegated pink and cream is too cute!  I placed them in MacKenzie-Childs flower pots.

Do you decorate for Christmas with poinsettias?

Until next time...

Blessings!

  1. I used to decorate with poinsettias when I had more room to put them. I miss them....

  2. I don't, but your's sure are pretty! The reason that I don't is because I have always heard that they are poisonous if an animal chews on one. Do you know if that is true? I would love to have a gigantic red one!

  3. Those Mackenzie Childs flower pots are so cute! I usually buy one or my hubby does for me. I love them but so far haven't gotten one. I think after I get my home decorated then I can chose one for just the right spot! Happy Holidays (coming over from Fresh Cut Fridays) Liz

  5. I love them but may not buy any this year as Quinn gets into everything so I don't want her to get into it. I hate the fake ones though at least the ones that look really fake so I skip those.

  6. Those flower pots are sooo cute. My Mother loved poinsettias and always had them around at Christmas. I have continued the tradition too.

  10. I used to, but they often carry white flies which contaminate my other plants. I stick to hydrangea, narcissus and Amaryllis.

  11. How pretty! When home (as we are now) we often get poinsettias as gifts around Christmas and we enjoy them tremendously. While at sea during Christmas there are literally hundreds of them all over the ship. They are wonderful.

  14. Love your poinsetta's, especially in your lovely pots! I love poinsetta's and usually have several. I have not broke down to them yet, since I'm going away for Christmas, I hate to kill them while I'm away!!

  15. Yours look adorable in the cute pots! I love Poinsettias and always have at least one & hopefully more. The Man brought home a large one just before Thanksgiving & that started the Christmas decorating for me. I hope to group a few in my front entry display. Have a great weekend!
