What To Do On a Rainy Sunday Afternoon? Sip Coffee and Read!

I do not want to get out in the rain Tropical Storm Lee has brought us, so instead I will stay inside, make some coffee, and read my new book, Modern Vintage Style by Emily Chalmers.  I think I will appreciate the book because I like Emily's design philosophy of mixing vintage with new, and using traditional items in modern ways.

Our tiny little cabin's kitchen and dining area looks like an American midcentury diner, so the atmosphere is perfect for enjoying Modern Vintage Style.

Mr. Art @ Home recently installed white subway tiles under our breakfast bar.  I think he did an excellent job, and he chose the tiles on his own.

How are you spending your Sunday afternoon?  Have you read any good books lately? What about design books?

Until next time...

Happy reading!

  2. I am cleaning up from a big birthday party last night for My Honey. We had 14 for dinner so things are still being washed and put away. We had a blast. The kids wanted to play with his presents. So cute.
