Game Day Wings

Ingredients:

3 - 3.5 lbs. chicken wings (I use the drumettes only)
1 T grated ginger
1 T minced garlic
1 t dry mustard
1/8 t cayenne pepper (optional)
1 1/3 c Veri Veri Teriyaki Sauce (may substitute soy sauce or other sauce)
1 T honey
1 bunch green onions, thinly sliced

Preheat broiler on high.  Arrange drumettes in a shallow pan, skin side up, and broil for 10 - 15 minutes (check after ten minutes), or until lightly browned.  Transfer wings to crock pot, along with any juices that have accumulated in the pan.

Combine the ginger, garlic, mustard, cayenne pepper, Veri Veri Teriyaki sauce, and and honey in a small bowl and stir until evenly mixed.  Pour the mixture over the wings in the crock and stir, coating all the drumettes.  Cover and cook on high for 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 hours, or on low for 5 - 7 hours (I usually cook mine on low), or until tender.  Stir in the thinly sliced green onions and cook an additional five minutes.  Serve in bowls with crunchy French bread.
