Speaking of Asters....

Tuesday, September 6, 2011

Some of you joined Liz @ Rose Vignettes for her Fresh Cut Friday party featuring asters.  You can read my post about asters here.  I also wanted to share two more asters with you.  The first one is the September card from Ling Chang's 2011 calendar.  I love Ling's art, and every year I order her calendars for the special people in my life for Christmas.  My grandmother says that it is her favorite Christmas present every year!  Please visit Ling Chang's website here.  Her small desktop calendars make wonderful teacher gifts.  I usually order her new calendars in early October, so mark your calendars!

I also bought one of her journals.  It is filled with her  beautiful artwork with scenes from Scotland.

The other asters I wanted to share are in a painting that I painted several years ago.  I do not usually paint abstracts, so take a good look because you won't see many of my paintings looking like this!

School was delayed for two hours today due to power outages, so I my whole day has been thrown off balance.  What have you been doing today?

Until next time...

Blessings!

  3. Hi Ricki Jill - you certainly have a lot of treasures my dear. Why, your own artwork alone will be treasured by someone someday!

I'll be selling some of these bottles in my Etsy shop too, so check out my shop online occasionally when you get a chance. Happy week sweetie!

  6. Hi Ricki! I've been busy with work and I don't have anything to blog too :-( I am just enjoying your blog and the other blogs that I follow.
I love the design of the calendar too. The journal is a classic elegance, usually my type.
    Have a great day!

  9. I adore my calander and look forward to changing each month to see what's new. I try not to peek and save it for a surprise. It seems the changing out gets way too soon. I did not know she had journals, but will definitely have to investigate!
