New {cheap} Tablecloth

Last week, I bought this tablecloth from Williams-Sonoma for a steal: $19.95. It was originally $179.00.  Yay, me!  I rarely ever find things I love on sale like this.  I decided to take some pictures before I finished setting the table because I was losing daylight.  We tried fixing the old camera (for those of you who did not read yesterday's post, my camera broke), got home, and it was not fixed. So we went back to Best Buy, and Mr. Art @ Home upgraded my camera, but I don't think I like it. The old one was under warranty, so I could have replaced it with the same camera, but we were talked into buying this other one.

I would appreciate your honest opinion:  what do you think of the quality of these photos compared to older posts?  I took these late in the day, so it is a bit dark in our dining room.

Okay, so back to the tablecloth.  Do you know what's great about having a glass top table?  You can iron the tablecloth right on the table!  :D  I iron everything.  I am weird that way.  The tablecloth has a garden theme, and I love it.  I am not quite ready to see August go yet, and I will post about that tomorrow.

It is so hot that we are eating salads tonight for dinner.

I really like these twenty year old napkins with the tablecloth.  They were made in India, and I still enjoy using them.

I use these flower pot napkin rings I bought at Pier 1 years ago all the time.  They are my favorite ones, and I think they go along with the garden implements and flowers printed on the tablecloth.

  3. what a bargain! Yes, Bonnie DOES love it! (that's me!)

I think the last photo is really awesome, and the others are fine. It may be that your new camera has features you don't yet have experience taking advantage of (like my camera that I'm desperately trying to get better at!)

  6. I got a few great deals at WS also. They do have excellent sales. I'm so not an expert on cameras or pictures. I think my pictures are sometimes blurry and I have no idea why. By the way...did you make your chair slipcovers? They are divine.

  7. Whoohoo!
You got a fabulous deal! They (WS) have some great deals when you get there at the right time....their sister store Pottery Barn too.
Your table looks great! Love all the layers and colors.
I can't help you with the camera opinions. I use a cheapo Kodak point and shoot or my cell phone camera when I am away from the house.

Had a really good camera years ago with all the big zoom lenses and then I dropped it. The end.

They wanted more to FIX it than it originally cost. That was the end of my fancy camera phase of my life.

    Such a pretty post!

  13. Love it! It looks like french linen.
I too love the iron, my kids think I am crazy. I have to say that the photos are not as crisp...although others seem to disagree...but perhaps it will take time to get used to this camera.
