Tablescape Inspired by the Lake

Photobucket

We recently spent our last weekend at the lake before school starts back, and I miss the lake already. I decided to set our breakfast table to remind us of how much fun we have had at Lake Martin.

Photobucket

The tablecloth is lake blue, and it was an Ebay purchase.

The napkins and napkin rings are vintage.

The bowls are Anthropologie latte bowls by Biscuit.  The bamboo flatware reminds us of the lake because we have bamboo floors in our cabin, and we use bamboo flatware at the lake cabin.

In the center of the table, we have a MacKenzie-Childs vase with daisies and candlestick.

The vintage glass is filled with a soy candle made by waverly and irving.

What are you having for breakfast this morning?  We are having Muesli, Greek yogurt, and Paris tea.

Until next time...

Blessings!

  1. Your table looks so pretty & is such a sweet reminder of summer fun. I always forget that the kids go back to school earlier in the south than we do.

  9. I love the color of the tablecloth. I can't believe it is time to start school again. It seems as if summer has just started, or at least that we haven't gotten to enjoy it yet because of all the heat! Summers were longer when I was a kid!

As for breakfast, I had a bowl of bran flakes...big deal!

  10. Very pretty. I especially like the vintage napkins - crochet, right? Or, is it tatting? It's hard to see....

Oh, yes, breakfast. Chocolate rum cake and Wallingford Hazelnut coffee. Oh, baby, that was good!

  18. What a pretty breakfast setting, the vase & candlestick are lovely.
Our morning routine is tea in bed (made by DH) then a light breakfast in the dining room. Today we had lightly bolied eggs with wholemeal toast and coffee.
