As I mentioned in a post last week about Country Living Magazine's fab-tastic February 2011 issue, I truly enjoyed the article "The New Way to Do Lace." I have noticed all kinds of items going lacy. And, for once in my life, I am ahead of the curve on this one!
Several years ago, I bought this adorable wall pocket from a Florida artist while on vacation. I wish I could remember his name, but I don't.
I love the ruffle at the tope with the impression of lace.
Not too long ago, a friend bugged me to take a ceramics class with her while we were in Florida at the beach. I have always wanted a vanity tray, and I decided to make one and glaze it Clinique green, and use lace and a white glaze to enhance it.
I think I did a pretty good job mixing and matching greens to capture Clinique green, don't you! I also discovered that I am not a clay artist. My tray is a bit wonky, so only those items with wide bases can stand-up on my tray. But we had a blast at the class, so I think of that every time I put on perfume!
I have also noticed pretty lacy items at Anthropologie, one of my favorite stores. Check out this Battenberg Iris Bracket:

Have you discovered any pretty lacy things on your jaunts around town? I would love to hear about them!
