Valentine's Day Decor

Sunday, February 5, 2023

Happy February, My Lovelies!  What have you been up to so far this month?  I've been doing lots of chores and things that were not done last year.  It hasn't been fun, but I admit that it feels pretty good because I'm completing lists almost daily!

I've also been decorating a little for Valentine's Day, and I thought I'd share.  Most of the decor is in the art studio.  I started with a banner that spells L-O-V-E., and added a few romantically frayed ribbons with sentiments stamped on them.  (It's always a challenge taking photos in the studio, especially on sunny days.)

Yes...I still have poinsettias all over the place because they still look so great!  I can't bear getting rid of them.

The bottom heart-shaped paperweight is new.

Other than fresh flowers, I haven't decorated much in the family room:

And if you missed it, I participated in a Happy Valentine's Day Tablescape Blog Hop:

Until next time...

Blessings!

  3. Such pretty touches, Ricki Jill! I love the Valentine banner and ornaments, and those Longaberger (yes?) heart baskets are pretty. My sister still had her poinsettias also. I only tossed mine as bottom leaves began dropping, but they were actually still pretty full. I put out a few heart reminders, scattered here and there. I've been using my heart plates on repeat, and sent another to a friend and her significant other, filled with a main course meal, while he recovers from recent surgery. Love, pure and simple.

  4. So pretty RJ! I especially love the shabby frayed ribbons and the book stack tied with it. Your poinsettias do still look great, glad you are still enjoying them! What are you and the hubs doing for Vday, do you go out or stay in?

  5. I always get a thrill seeing a cup of colored pencils, all sharpened and ready to color something beautiful. Love all your pretty decorations. Try to pace yourself with the chores my friend! Hugs!

  6. This is all so pretty, Ricki Jill. The banners are especially fun. And of course I love seeing your pencils and supplies. Studios are great rooms to decorate -- although these days I haven't even seen the desk, it's still under so much stuff from Christmas moving about, then company coming (so I can't pawn it off on the guest room!). Still, it's so pretty where you are, it truly makes me smile!

  8. Such pretty Valentine’s Day touches, Ricki Jill! Your poinsettias do still look pretty. I finally tossed my one lonely one just the other day, and thought of how you kept yours going. I hope you have a great week. ❤️
