It's Monday.
It's raining.
Our dryer is broken... Mr. Art @ Home couldn't find any clean scrub bottoms...
....and I have no milk for my tea.
*perfect*
But I'm not going with the expected "Rainy Days and Mondays" by The Carpenters. Oh, NO! I'm not.
I need something cheerful for this craptastic day!
Ricki Jill
That is one of my favorite Carpenter's songs!! I was in Boulder Colorado last week at NCAR....500 feet above the city and I was singing it to my kids. They thought I finally lost my mind....
ReplyDeleteIt seems to be a typical Monday. I just had to order $700 in tires for my vehicle. :( Here's to a better Tuesday! :)
ReplyDeleteI am there with you, but my day was yesterday. Think of the song from Annie. Tomorrow Tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteARGH! Not the dryer!! That's as bad as the dishwasher, love the song and I hate to admit-I've watched that movie more times than is likely healthy. I just had a feeling today that something expensive was going to happen so I've opted to stay at home and sort of hide out.
ReplyDelete(Might have something to do with paying all bills online last night C:)
I agree with Annie, it will be better tomorrow!! I HOPE!!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope things have improved as the day went on! Sending you some hugs either way. Thanks for taking time to write me some encouragement! I feel better now! heehee! Sweet hugs!
ReplyDeleteReveal yourself, tiny songstress! Ha! What a great clip. Love Johnny Depp. =)
ReplyDeleteLOL! I don't mean to laugh but the whole console TV, with the person in the gown just cracks me up! I hope your day turns around quickly!
ReplyDeleteOh now I'm really laughing! I just went back to watch the video and realized it really is Karen & Richard Carpenter! lol I will be singing this song all night now.
ReplyDeleteSending you all the positive vibes Ricki :) One of my all time favorite songs too
ReplyDeleteSo you headed outside with your washboard and scrubbed clothes while belting out this song? Perfect!
ReplyDeleteHaha, reveal yourself, tiny songstress! I loved that movie. Love the console tv, too. I found a Curtis Mathes pedestal console tv in a thrift store that actually still worked, but just could not justify bringing it home (even at the cheap price of $20). Now I regret that.
ReplyDeleteI went to see The Conjuring over the weekend, so I've got a selection from THAT movie soundtrack up at my blog :)
UGH!! Sounds almost as good as my day!! Woke up to no power, raining, had a check up appointment all the way in Louisville, got drowned running some errands there before appointment. Went early to appointment, just in case there were cancellations and get in early, no such luck, their power had been off and on, and my appointment was running an hour and a half minimum!! behind!!, just rescheduled and called it a total loss! waste of day, time, my life, gas and now have to go back!! good song choice, now I'll hear it all night! LOL, hope tomorrow is better for you and everyone!
ReplyDeleteI hope the dryer is fixed soon!
ReplyDeleteUgh it sounds like a real blue Monday! Hope Tuesday is better!
ReplyDeleteMy bad day was actually Friday so "touch wood" this week is off to a good start.
ReplyDeleteHey, how did you get a photo of my old TV?
