  41. I read all the time, but I have just obtained a copy of: Désirée: The Bestselling Story of Napoleon's First Love. It was first published in 1951 and I remember seeing the film which was made in 1954. (Please understand I did not see the film in 1954, but caught in to television many years ago). Jean Simmons and Marlon Brando (who else?) starred in the movie.
