Dark and Spooky Halloween Floral Arrangements

Thursday, October 13, 2011

I want to thank all of you for your kind emails.  They meant more to me than you will ever know.  I think stress brought on my asthma attack, and I am trying very hard to get it under control.  I am much better today after having a breathing treatment yesterday.  I am way behind in all my chores, and I will try to catch-up with y'all over the weekend.  I will make time this weekend for fun, too, I promise!

Since I have been in a dark mood this week, I decided to look at some goth-looking floral arrangements.  I will try my hand at one over the weekend just for fun.  :D

Do you like these?  Or do you think they are depressing?

How will your centerpiece look for Halloween?

Until next time...

Blessings!

  1. I love these, the one with the cream and red and black feathers I love.I'm not sure about a Halloweeen one, i usually just add some spiders to my fall center peice. You know my worse asthma attacks came during stress, my mums funeral was when I was diagnosed. It truly manifests physically our grief and stress.Be well my friend.

  9. Okay love these especially the last. It looks so simple with the fake black flowers so it wouldn't be expensive to do but the effect is awesome. I don't know how I missed your last post but I feel like a big turd. I hope you are feeling better you poor thing. I am a bad blogger friend. My blog reading has been sporadic at best as our week or weeks have been so busy with doctors appts. and tests. Thankfully all turned out pretty well. But back to you I hope you are back to your old self. It is the weekend so hopefully you can relax and enjoy. Take care Ricki!

  10. Glad to know that you're feeling a little better, I like the Martha Stewart arrangements but not the others, too macabre!

  11. What a fabulous collection of gothic inspired flower arrangements! So sorry that you have been having trouble, it's in the air, I had to take my little one in for a breathing treatment this week.

I love the white roses with all the spiders and snakes, it makes me itch and because of the white dosn't seem depressing and then you notice all the bugs and get creepy just like halloween. I also really like the Martha Steward ones but I think the containers are what is making those so pretty.

Can't wait to see what you come up with! Take care of yourself.

  13. I am not a fan for dark anything, especially at Halloween. I love flowers and feel they should be pretty and uplifting. Gothic is not my thing! Those arrangements shown were very creative, but no....LOL!
I am so glad you are feeling better. Another friend of mine is having a bad time with asthma this year. Although in our neck of the woods, the weather is changing very quickly from warm to cold. Just remember to take care of you first and foremost. Rest is probably the best. Forget the housework. It will still be there next week!

  14. These are awesome. I guess it's true...say it with flowers!!

Glad you are feeling better. I have asthma, too, and have to do breathing treatments at home when I have problems. The mold that comes with fall is a trigger for me and colds as well. Take good care of yourself!

  15. I love the juxtaposition of beautiful, vibrant, living flowers with death and decay- that's just FUN! I can't wait to see what you come up with, but do take it easy and let your body recover. The stress of asthma attacks is exhausting!

  16. Hi I am sorry you have been feeling bad. Asthma can kick your A. I love all the arrangements esp. the first one. The white roses with bugs is perfect I could use it on my table for tomorrows witchy party. I will see what they have at the grocery store. Hope you are enjoying our beautiful weather. Happy Fall,
