Readers, I meant to get this posted yesterday, but a stomach bug has had me under its power since late Saturday night. It has not been fun.
I appreciate all of your comments concerning the wallpaper. You all know my very well to have overwhelmingly favored the watercolor peony, and it was my daughter's favorite, too.
I was also favoring the Salix because I thought it would be dramatic.
However, in the end I had to rethink all choices because Mr. Art @ Home bought me a surprise for the room. I chose another Anthropologie print called Festooned Boathouses, and it looks great in my room. Plus it was on sale 50% off! :D
I like the print because it gives the same affect (yes, I mean affect as in emotion) as the Watercolor Peonies but the colors are better suited for the room now. I like the combination of line drawings (boathouses) and painting (flowers); it is appropriate because I paint and my daughter draws! I am so happy I requested samples because the background of the Festooned Boathouses exactly matches our walls and looks nice with the dining room walls, too. It is a warm white, and the Watercolor Peonies did not look as pretty, especially with Mr. Art @ Home's present.
To be fair, I included everyone in the drawing. There were 33 comments, and random.org chose number 8. Elaine @ Sunny Simple Life, you won! Please email me with your address so I can send the candle and soap to you tomorrow.
I am hoping to have the studio finished by the end of the week. The work has been slow thanks to my nasty virus *sadface*.
Until next time...
Blessings!
Ricki Jill
