Spring means sprucing-up our front porch.
We planted two planters we have had for years and bought a hanging basket. We also bought a new settee cushion and throw pillows @ Pier1.
We planted Creeping Jenny, Saxifraga, Candytuft, Geranium, Darla Diascia, Pansy, and Grace Ward Lithodora, and Hydrangea.
I also won a giveaway @ Marie's Maison: a RAMSIGN custom porcelain enamel sign with our house number on it. My husband installed it over the weekend. Marie's super-cute blog was one of the first three blogs I followed, and her beach cottage is so adorable and inspiring. Please visit Marie's Maison here.
My husband and I enjoy sitting on our front porch in the early evening and watching the bats fly and the children play in the cul de sac.

Until next time...
Blessings!

Oh I love it all! That hanging basket is divine and you lucky duck. What a cute number plate.
ReplyDeleteOH My goodness Ricki Jill I grew up in the same looking house! Well from what I can see.
ReplyDeleteYour porch is beautiful! My family home is red brick, red brick steps and same rod iron! Now that I live on the West coast or Vancouver Island there are no brick homes!!! I love brick homes and sure do miss them.
The address sign looks so elegant against the brick.
That was a great win!!

Dear Ricki, It is so nice to know that my husband and I are not the only one's who love to watch the bats fly over our heads in the mid/late evenings..I have to come forward and say on a very hot evening, we sit out on the front steps, with a cold glass of beer and watch the bats fly overhead. This is the only time we drink beer but for some reason, it goes so well with bat watching..It has become a tradition with us! If we were neighbors we would be sitting on your porch with you both..hahahaha
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Shirley
