I am the Mod Podge Queen!

{not really}

I have wanted to learn how to decoupage because there is an art project I want to do this year, and I need to learn how to use the medium before I start the project.  I have a 2011 Goals List you can read here.  You'll notice that I have a decoupaged vase on my goals list. I thought it would be an easy project to introduce me to process, and now I can check-off goal #5!

This is a picture of the project I wanted to complete.  I tried to find a rose pot shaped just like the one in the picture, but I could not.

I did find one, but it has a slight curve at the top which was hard to deal with, and as hard as I tried, I could not get all the wrinkles and air bubbles out because of the curvature of the pot.  Here are my results:

I took most of the pictures in my kitchen because the lighting is better.  I also wanted to show all sides of the vase, too.  The vase will live on our coffee table when I have flowers in it.

I am fairly pleased with the results.  I chose images that spoke to me, and I think they go together fairly well.

I don't think any surface in our home is safe from mod podge anymore.

Until next time...

Blessings!
