National Read a Book Day

Sunday, September 6, 2020

Happy Sunday, My Lovelies!

Today is National Read a Book Day!

I hope you're enjoying your weekend on a lake, at a beach, at home, wherever you can relax and enjoy some down time.

I have the perfect book for you to read for National Read a Book Day:  The Bright Side of Going Dark by Kelly Harms.  She wrote a book I reviewed here on the blog last year entitled The Overdue Life of Amy Byler.  You may read my review of it HERE.

The Bright Side of Going Dark is about a social media influencer who throws her phone over a cliff and "goes dark" as a result.  In order to read and relax, we all should "go dark" from social media every now and again.

I've only read a couple of chapters, but I'm enjoying it already.  Look for my review soon here on the blog.

I will be spending the next several days with my family, so I will also be "going dark" until later in the week.

Until next time...

Happy reading!
Ricki Jill

  4. I will have to look for this one. I like the idea of throwing my phone over a cliff some days. I actually had to step away from the social media while Sam was in Kenosha.

Have a great time with family.
