Tweaking My Kitchen Desk

Tuesday, March 1, 2016

Happy Tuesday, My Lovelies!  I tweaked my kitchen desk recently, I wanted to share the results with you today.

My desk is below the glass-door china hutch in the corner of our kitchen.

I needed a center to charge my Apple products.

This caddy charges my iPhone, iPad, MacBook Air, and the charger on the right is for my Apple watch (seen in photo above this one).

This is my Word of the Year Project: Gratitude crate.  I made it with Canvas Corp Brands products.  You can read the post here

I've been searching locally for a bucket for flowers, and I've been unsuccessful.  So I thought I'd try Etsy, and when I typed in the search, this lovely bucket from Marie's Maison was the first item on the list.  The Marie's Maison blog was one of my all-time favorites.....LOVED it!

Before, below:

I moved the sugar mold with office supplies to the art studio.  I also moved the large phone out of the kitchen.

You can read about my post about the desk redo here, and our kitchen reveal here.

After!

I also want to thank Marie for sending me a tiny little pitcher with the flower bucket.  Thank-you!

Until next time...

Blessings!
Ricki Jill

  2. What a terrific tweaking job you did. I love it all and now I am wondering how/where I can create a charging area for my Apple products.

  4. Love your new charging station! Can you believe I didn't even notice your desk when I was at your house? I was so taken with your pink island and all that MKC that I was blown away.

I just made a charging station out of an old lap desk. I guess maybe I should post it. Did you repurpose a desk organizer or was that made specifically for Macs? Whatever you did, it worked out great and doesn't take up much space.

  7. Your desk looks great RJ. I need something similar for my phone, iPad and mac laptop. First I need a station, then I can find a home for it. Thanks for reminding me.
Stormy here and James says it up your way too. Tomorrow will be better I hope, after the near perfect day yesterday………….

  8. My kitchen desk doesn't have any cabinetry above it so the eye goes straight to the paper extravaganza that is usually covering it! Hmpf! And the actual desk in the office...oh dear!

  10. I love how girly this little space is! If a space has to be functional then it should be pretty and look like you. This one does just that. :)
