I love having fresh flowers in my home, especially since we are fortunate to have a flower market close by. Sometimes I get bored with my vases, and I like to use alternative containers. Here are a few ideas that I really like.
What are your ideas for fun and unique flower containers?
Please remember to join Bonnie and me for our What We're Reading linky party Saturday, August 20th. What books topped your summer reading list? We want to know!
Until next time...
Blessings!

Flowers are frequently displayed in baskets, but I love the tight weave of this basket. There is a glass container sitting inside. This image is from Better Homes and Gardens.
Pails are great for flowers. I think an arrangement in a vintage sand pail would be fun for an end of the summer party. Image is from Better Homes and Gardens.
I have posted this one before, but it is one of my favorites. Vintage picnic jugs make great flower containers, like this one from Country Living.
These dahlia balls from Country Living would be just as pretty with mums for a fall football party.
I have this image from Country Living pinned on my inspiration board. Any vintage tin would do, but I love the idea of a tea tin for a tea party.
I love the color combination of this fall arrangement in a pumpkin. This image is from Country Living.
This is the cutest idea! The vintage egg cup collection and flowers sitting on a pretty plate is stunning. This image is also from Country Living.

ReplyDeleteWhat great ideas!! I love the pumpkin vase and mean to do something like that every fall. Pumpkins and mums...that sounds so wonderful now!!

Super ideas for floral arrangements, very inspiring.
ReplyDeleteI'm particularly taken with the Twinings Orange Pekoe Tin, since we used to live in the town where Twinings have a large packing facility in the UK.
OMG is it time for book club already, yikes!

I LOVE the gourd idea. Brilliant for this Fall! :D
ReplyDeleteI once gave my mom a handmade basket out of thin sticks, and she used it like the woven basket you have there. It turned out to be a great way to display flowers, because of the contrast with the dark wood and the continuing nature theme. Yay for decorating!
The woven basket is my favorite way of seeing flowers. Thanks for sharing the idea with us!
ReplyDeletebeautiful and the thermal jug is just the best!! so cute,, lovely photos,,
ReplyDeleteThese are all such clever ideas, but the thermos is my fav. How cute is that!

I love the pumpkin with the Fall flowers! I guess we Southern girls have Mason jars we could use! I like pretty pottery vases! ♥
ReplyDeleteThese are all so fun...but the thermos is the best. I would have never thought of that myself. I have done the pumpkin before and it turns out really cute. Almost the weekend...have a good one!
ReplyDeleteWell, you saw that I just put them in an old milk bottle. I love fresh flowers and I use almost anything I can find to put them in. You just have to "think outside the box" or the vase:)
ReplyDeleteHello Ricki! I love the idea of the vintage jug and the egg cups as flower vases. Unique, cute and pretty!
ReplyDeleteOh these are such great ideas! I especially like the pumpkin!
ReplyDeleteI have an old camp coffee pot that i use in the country for my flowers from the garden, I just love it! I love all these, but my favoriate is the little egg cups with the varieties! looks so unusual.
ReplyDeleteI love the tea tin idea. I use small pitchers a lot.

I love the basket idea! I'd love to do that with one of the sweet grass baskets from Charleston!
ReplyDeleteThese are great ideas. I use different containers all of the time too. How wonderful to have a flower market close by. I just picked up some fresh carnations and have them in the bathroom and in the dining room. Hugs ad happy Friday!
