This is a busy spring for us as our oldest daughter prepares for Senior Performances and graduation, and our younger daughter prepares for the start of horse show season.
Although busy, I have a few things that I want to blog about that have made me happy this week.
1. My dog, Bonnie, always makes me happy. She is so, so cute, and here she is after a long day at the barn. She is wiped out, poor baby.
2. My favorite young adult writer is Cassandra Clare. Her fourth book in the Mortal Instruments series, City of Fallen Angels, came out Tuesday. My older daughter ordered it directly from the publisher because she thought she would get it sooner. She didn't. I went to Barnes & Noble and bought mine, and guess what!?!?!? Mine has an exclusive letter from Jace to Clary. Check it out:
Cassandra Clare has another series called The Infernal Devices. The first book, Clockwork Angel, was released last year, and it made my Best of 2010 list. You can read about it here.
3. Mr. Art@Home took me on a date last night to see the remake of Arthur. We loved the original with Dudley Moore, and I have to say I really enjoyed the remake. Russell Brand did a fantastic job, and Helen Mirren as Hobson is the most brilliant casting I have seen in a long, long time.
Please enjoy your weekend, my bloggy friends!
I am linking to Mamarazzi's My Happy List @ Dandelion Wishes.
Until next time...
Blessings!

ReplyDeleteAnd now I must put Cassandra Clare on my to-read author list as well. The hand-written letter is a NICE touch. :D
Sounds like a good week. I will have to tell my daughter about this series. She is an avid reader.

Hi Ricki Jill Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous share today. I love, love your post today. I am not familiar with this young writer, but it certainly looks like one that I would enjoy reading. I will be checking out Cassandra Clare and it appears as though I have 3 before this one to read. I will check on Amazon and see what I can find. I love to read.
I didn't even know they had done a remake of Arthur. I loved the one with Dudley Moore so I would probably appreciate this one as well.
Your little critter is so white laying on its white bed, I had to look twice. I could hardly see her. She is SO precious.
What a lovely week you have had sweet friend. I so enjoyed reading along with you. Hope you have a glorious weekend. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
