Lake Martin is a great getaway that is close enough to Birmingham for easy access. I have another good friend who just bought a house their this Spring and they LOVE it! Happy September!

I love everywhere you look there is something beautiful to see, homes, wildlife and of course flowers and natural beautiful. It sounds like you've had a wonderful summer.
