My Happy List
1. My blog friends have been so encouraging lately. Y'all are the best! I have the sweetest blog friends on the planet.
Here's some eye candy for you:
I *heart* you!
Isn't this a lovely autumn image? It's from my new favorite photography store on Etsy,
2. My girls are doing so well in school. I'm proud of how hard they're working! Shanley Belle made a 102 on her anatomy exam, and Shelley made her first 100 on a Spanish quiz. This is her first year in Spanish, and most of the students in her class has had it before. Congratulations, Shelley!
3. FYI: I got sunburned at the horse show, and it triggered some hives. I'm not happy about it, but I am happy that I'm feeling better. YAY! I'm so sun sensitive now.
4. Two words:
Geaux Saints!
5. Three words:
Roll Tide Roll!
{It's going to be another great year for football. I. Hope......}
6. Here's a recipe I think you'll love!
Pumpkin Spice Latte
Ingredients:
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie syrup (I use Torani from Walmart)
2 teaspoons white sugar
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
1 cup milk
1/2 cup coffee (I use Cafe Verona from Starbucks)
Preparation:
In a saucepan combine everything but the coffee and cook on medium heat, stirring until steaming. Remove from heat, stir in coffee, and whisk the mixture really well with a wire whisk until foamy.
Pour into a 12 oz mug and enjoy!
(....or you can just get one of these....)
Don't you love how they smell?
Make my day by sharing your happy posts with me!
Until next time...
Blessings!
Ricki Jill
Great happys!;>) I love how much you enjoy your life. I would love one of those Pumpkin lattes from Starbucks but I stick to my sugar free vanilla.....my secret pleasure- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteWow well done Shelley! That is super!
ReplyDeleteI wish we got pumpkin flavoured things here! That would make me so happy .... sadly there is no pumpkin spice coffee at our Starbucks and no pumpkin pie syrup in our stores.
I could use a pumpkin spice latte right now! Thanks for hosting, happy October :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great party, Ricki. I love to be happy!....Christine
ReplyDeleteNice happy list! I wish I could take photos like the leaf one. Maybe someday...
ReplyDeleteI keep seeing homemade Pumpkin Spice coffee and coffee creams on Pinterest, but have yet to attempt making one - I should try, because I don't have a Starbucks near me and usually only make it for one during the season!! Mmmm so yummy! :)
ReplyDeleteHi RJ, sorry you had a bad day, sunburns can turn nasty! Pretty fall eye candy, I must confess no pretty colors here yet. Happy to hear the girls are off to a good school year, congratulations to Shelly for acing her Spanish test. Love, love, love flavored coffees in fall and winter! Such a sweet September song you shared, a favorite of mine. Hope you continue to feel better...........
ReplyDeleteEmily

ReplyDeleteUmmmm....I'm gonna make this great coffee...I didn't even know there was such a thing as Pumpkin Pie Syrup....
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you got sunburned...not a good thing !!
Take care and feel better soon.
and...thanks for hosting.
Love your photo! However I love even more the girls are doing well, especially Shelley. I am extremely HAPPY she is thriving in her new school. Seriously fighting the tears from rolling. Have you tried the new McDonald's PSL, not bad. I was so warn out one morning I needed some serious coffee and only shop on the way was the stupid McD's.
ReplyDeleteLove your "happys". Years ago friends moved to Auburn, Alabama and they went to an Auburn game when they were house hunting. They said football was BIG, BIG, BIG and everyone in town got behind the team.
ReplyDeleteI love reading your happy lists and I'm glad you're feeling better.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I've been tense and aching from stress all day today, and seeing that lovely leaf image, I felt my body relax a bit. It's absolutely gorgeous, and just what I needed.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your girls- scoring over 100 is pretty darn amazing. Yay!
You must be so proud of your hard-working girls. Good for them. Boo that you got hives, but we aren't supposed to be in the sun much now anyway so it is a good thing to avoid. I haven't had a pumpkin spice latte and I do enjoy them. I bet they are a bazillion calories - anything that tastes that good has got to be.
ReplyDeleteYum, pumpkin spice!
