My Happy List

This week, My Happy List is all about one thing:  Buttons!

Not really that kind of button....*this* kind of button:

Let me explain....

I don't like Bloglovin'.  I really don't.  So I have an idea!  Do you see on my sidebar where it says People I Adore?  Well....I'm going to use that to keep up with my lovelies.  Yep!  So I'm going to be grabbing buttons, but I need your help.  I had many buttons before my blog redesign, but I lost several of them before Miss Angie could put them on my sidebar.  Please remind me to grab your button if I don't have yours!

If your blog doesn't have a button, then no worries.  I'll either help you make one (I can actually do that) or I'll follow you via email!

Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

I think it's a brilliant idea, and THAT MAKES ME SO HAPPY!!!  If that doesn't work, I wonder if the Blog List Gadget will still work.... I had that on my blog a few years ago, and I added it again!

UPDATE:  So far my Blog List is working!  I started over with it because several blogs on my list are inactive.  If I read your blog and you're not on my Blog List, please either leave a comment or send me an email so I can add your blog to the list.

What do you think about my idea?  I value your opinion.  Tell me if you think I'm wrong about Bloglovin'.  Many of my posts aren't showing-up over there.

One last thought:  You, my blog buddies, make me happy everyday.  Y'all are amazing, you make me laugh, sometimes you make me cry, and I'm always grateful for your friendship and the things I learn from your blogs!!!

Until next time...

Blessings!
Ricki Jill

  2. I have a hard time keeping up with blog posts. I have tried several things and still am not sure how I like to do it. Not sure I like Bloglovin' either. I don't think it will let me pin things from there. I sure do enjoy you RJ and love being in touch.

  3. I LOVE your buttons Ricki Jill! And...I've wondered about BlogLovin'...everyone seemed to jump on the bandwagon early on. Yet...some very respected bloggers had selected Feedly for their reader...so I have both running. But, I am not following anyone through BlogLovin' - I am really thinking that maybe e-mail subscriptions might be best. Oh the details! Haha!!
    Blessings!

  4. Ricki Jill, I know what you mean. I'm a KISS kind of gal..."keep it simple, sweetheart" and I find all this switching to this one and that one to be so annoying. I've just followed you on Google Friend Connect, and I'm adding you to my blog list. Hope it stays there. :)
Thanks for visiting and have a great 4th.

  5. Hey sweetie thanks for the visit to Pura Vida! I am with YOU on the bloglovin thing..why can't we just stay easy? So far, nothing has changed on my site, but I'm adding the button anyway because I don't want to loose anyone either and I added you :-). I just don't take blogging all that seriously as far as writing, but I love to read. And btw...I love that Klimt Button TREE!!!

  6. Oh goodness, I'm not computer savvy and I just hate when there are changes and always wonder why can't they leave things well enough alone. So far things are the same here, and hope they do for a long time, lol! I'm so afraid to lose my friends..shoot!! I love to blog and I made such good friends like you my dear and so I am a Little concern.
    Happy 4th!

  7. Aw, what a great idea! Thanks for putting my buttons on there....that gives me warm fuzzies. :D
I've not yet had an issue with Bloglovin', but sometimes there is lag (and of course, my digest of the blogs I follow comes the next day, and sometimes misses blogs). I personally prefer getting emails about new posts straight from the blog, so I don't have to worry that I'm missing something.

  8. You are such a generous blog friend. What a great idea. I have a little square logo that my son made, I don't know that it qualifies as a button but I subscribe to your updates.
Blogs and their authors make me so happy!

  12. Ricki Jill- That is exactly what I do- I read from my blog roll on my sidebar. I have always done that-and I am not fond of Bloglovin either. I wish they would leave things ALONE!!!! Love your Happy List! xo Diana

  17. I'm not sure about bloglovin either. I haven't found something that works for me yet. It's been better at reminding me to check my friends' blogs than nothing, but still feel like it could be better...

  20. I have a button on my glad that you're welcome to take! :)

I am using bloglovin, and so far, so good. I have noticed a bit of lag (as another commenter previously mentioned), but it's not like I'm super on top of my blog reading, anyway!

  21. I just signed up for bloglovin but I've never used a reader before, so really don't know how it works.
I also just linked my post of yesterday to your party. So many parties that I forget some of them ...sorry I didn't get here yesterday.

I think your buttons are a great idea.

  22. Adorable buttons! How did you know that I had tonnes of vintage buttons collected? I'm THRILLED that I'm on your sidebar C: You are totally on my 'must reads'. I'm going to set up 'feedly' today, I've had a few friends that love it.

  23. You are too sweet to put my button up there - sure makes me smile. I do often read my blogs using the list in the sidebar, but there are kinda a lot of them so I don't always make it through all of them. I also check Bloglovin', but I"m not consistent with it either. I'm a bit ADD (as you can tell) and I let my randomness out when it comes to blogging so I read blogs in all different ways. I notice you don't have a "Join This Site" for your GFC anymore, but I still do (what's up with that)?
