Comparing Recent Pantone Colors of the Year

Saturday, May 5, 2012

I bought something today in Pantone's 2012 Color of the Year Tangerine Tango.  I will post about it tomorrow because it is too dark to take photos right now, but it got me thinking about recent Colors of the Year.

I love the wallpaper in each of these photos.  Which Color of the Year do you like best?  Vote in the poll at the top of my sidebar.

I am anxious to see the results!  I am planning on converting our guest bedroom into a small library.  I need feedback!

Until next time...

Blessings!

  2. I love that you're going to have a library! I've always wanted to be Belle from Beauty and the Beast and have a library. :)

  4. Oh YES,YES,YES! You will LOVE a library! We spend most of our relaxing time in ours...LOVE,LOVE,LOVE it! I will never own one of those electronic gizmos for books. I LOVE hardcover "REAL BOOKS"! and love adding to mine library.
I chose the 2010's Turquoise because I find it the most calming of the colors...

  5. Ooooh, I can't wait to see how you make that room a library. How dreamy! As far as a color choice, Pantone makes it so hard...they're all such lovely colors. But I'm a pink girl so I'll go with honeysuckle. Going to vote now :)

  6. Ricki Jill,
I am really into the color turqouise right now. In fact, I am decorating a room in that color. I like all the wallpaper colors, especially the pink and the turqouise.

  8. I want every one of those wallpapers! How disorienting do you think it would be if each room of my house were a different color-of-the-year color? I think the Mimosa and Turquoise are my two favorites.

  12. Well, I had to vote for the turquoise. I've always loved it ~ even before it was declared 2011's color of the year. :-) I've never been an orange type person but it's growing on me! The corals and turquoise are gorgeous together. Yellow is a color I really like but I'm not a pink person...go for the reds!

Can't wait to see what you're creating.

  13. I always gravitate towards blue so I voted for the turquoise. The yellow would be a very close second. The wallpaper in every pic is stunning. I love a big pattern that makes a statement. A library sounds positively charming. I'm sure it will be perfect. Hope all is well with you. Thank you for stopping by my blog and also for your nice comments. Have a wonderful week!

  14. They're running out of color wheel segments.....(although if they go back to a blue or green tone, I'm happy). :)

  16. I voted for the turquoise, but have to agree that I like all the wallpapers and would even enjoy all of them except the pink one (too wild for me). Great pictures you found of each of them.
