Advent Day Four

Saturday, December 4, 2021

I decided to ask a Question of the Day because I need y'all's help!
I'd like to try baking a couple of new cookie recipes this Christmas and surprise my family.

Also: Do you have a favorite source for Christmas cookie recipes?  Do you have a recipe book, or do you have a Pinterest board for them?  Please share your resources in the comments section below.

Here is today's Advent Chrismon:

The circle or sphere

The circle or sphere represents eternity.  Since only God is eternal, it is also a symbol for Him and the eternal life only He can grant.

Today's scripture:

“ ‘The days are coming,’ declares the Lord, ‘when I will fulfill the good promise I made to the people of Israel and Judah.

“ ‘In those days and at that time
    I will make a righteous Branch sprout from David’s line;
he will do what is just and right in the land.
In those days Judah will be saved
and Jerusalem will live in safety.
This is the name by which it will be called:
    The Lord Our Righteous Savior.’

Jeremiah 33:14-16

Until next time...

Blessings!

  1. Beautiful scripture.
I always make a Christmas tree Spritz cookie. I tint the dough green and use red sugar sprinkles to decorate the cookies.

  3. Ooooh how to choose a favorite cookie?? That’s a tough question for this sweets loving girl!! It’s kinda like trying to choose a favorite child. I do always make spritz because they add some cheer to a plate of Christmas cookies. One of my favorites is Monster Cookies, which are oatmeal/ peanut butter with no flour, and have M&M’s and chocolate chips. Happy Baking!
