Happy Sunday, My Lovelies! This week is Banned Books Week. I'm celebrating that I have the freedom to read whatever I want, including the Holy Bible on this beautiful Sunday!
Curious about the most challenged and banned books from 2017? Watch this video to see the books on last year's list.

It is just sad to me to see so many books banned. I believe that it is FEAR that motivates the banning. Pretty sad!!! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteGood information, RJ. Thanks for sharing, and I've just shared a link to the Banned Books Week FB page that includes this info!
ReplyDeleteIt is shocking Ricki Jill, and very scary. Thank you for the information and for getting this problem out there! It's like so many other things these days, people want to change and erase history, so sad...

I look at some and think "really? You HAVE to be kidding."
ReplyDeleteI agree with Diana that fear motivates banning. If you don't like it, don't read it.
Some of those books mentioned would not interest me but that doesn't mean they should be banned everyone should be able to decide whether to read a book or not, I do not approve of banning books that is taking away a persons right to decide for themselves.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this info! It really is getting scary........
ReplyDeleteI just took a banned book quiz and got zero correct- I couldn’t believe some of the books that have been banned!
ReplyDeleteWOW!! To Kill a Mockingbird as been on that list so many times. One day I am afraid it will get it. Keep on fighting for freedom!!
