Happy Monday, My Lovelies! I hope y'all had a wonderful weekend. We had a great one because Big Sis has been home. Sadly, she's leaving later today to head back to Baton Rouge. We spent the weekend cooking some of her favorite meals, and we froze them in individual servings. This will help when orientation and classes start next week. She requested a beef brisket, chicken and dumplings, and chicken, mushroom, and farro risotto. I also baked dozens of chocolate chip cookies.
Shanley Belle is such a thoughtful daughter. She visited New Orleans recently and stopped by one of her favorite shops and bought me a present:
The French Library is a children's bookstore where all the books are written in French. Shanley Belle bought me Beauty and the Beast. The illustrations are beautiful, and it will help me brush-up on my French.
Lovely illustrations
Now take a moment to look around my blog. Do you see any changes? I decided to reimagine my blog for a few reasons. I'll be giving little hints between now and September 15th (when I'll make a major announcement) as to why I'm moving my blog in a different direction. Be on the lookout for a couple of giveaways, too!
Now on to hint #1:
This hint is brought to you by Captain Obvious.
Until next time...
Blessings!
Ricki Jill
I know you will miss having Stanley Belle home after she returns to Baton Rouge. What a thoughtful gift she brought you, this charming little book in French! You know I notice the change in your blog already and I look forward to see what direction your are going next. Whatever it is I know it will be amazing.

I already see changes, and I know what ever you have in mind will be awesome. You are so talented!
Aww, the empty nest is a tough time...but I know you are excited about your new venture, me too! I am swooning over the French Beauty and the Beast! I took French all through high school and college, I wish I was fluent!
