Happy Thursday! I promised to show some photos from our afternoon at the botanical gardens, and here they are! Shelley didn't have school on Columbus Day, so we went to brunch and to the gardens with my friend Barbara and her daughter (Shelley's friend) Anna.
These first few photos are of the Leaf & Petal shop (my favorite in Birmingham). I love all the pumpkins and pretty fall planters!

I love the pumpkin topiary!
We only had time to enjoy the rose garden and Japanese garden. I could have spent hours in the rose garden!
For some reason my camera started acting weird in the Japanese garden, so I don't have many photos there.
But remember this, my lovelies:
Until next time...
Blessings!

Great photos! Those flowers are all so lovely!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! I love rose gardens. I use to have one in the bay area.
ReplyDeletesch a beautful place to visit, aren't the roses amazing, love the script on tthe rock!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have some of those wonderful pumpkins, they are just shaped so unusual...love that and the incredible color...what a wonderful place to see some pretty roses too...
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty types of pumpkins. I don't think I've seen the Fairy Tale pumpkins before (quite the price on them too). I've started buying a mix of pumpkins and squash so we can eat the decorations after Hallowe'en. Did they put a stick through the topiary? or were the pumpkins just sitting on top of each other? I love the idea and would like to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteYOU are beautiful, too, and so are your pictures. What a lovely place to spend some time- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking us along. I never turn down a garden tour. '-)
ReplyDeleteLove the pumpkin shots too.
Beautiful! I love great garden shops to begin with. Love love garden tours. :) Hoping to go to the Dallas Arboretum tomorrow. They are decked out with thousands of pumpkins right now.
ReplyDeleteGreat way to spend the afternoon! I love the little reminder there :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I love all the roses. I've always wanted an English Rose garden. My husband thinks I'm nuts for constantly adding more roses to our garden.
