Everyone's favorite Half Blood Prince has invited you to a dessert tea party. There has never been a more loathed hero in all of literature. Let's see what Professor Severus Snape has planned for us, shall we?
Flowers are lilies in honor of Severus' love of his life: Lily Evans.
"There has never been a wizard who's gone bad who wasn't a Slytherin."

DISCLOSURE: When Shanley Belle was in fourth/fifth grade and she'd get mad at me or her little sister, she'd say that we'd have been sorted into Slytherin House. This was the most horrible insult she could hurl at us! I teased her and told her that Snape was going to be a hero in the series, and she'd get so mad at me! I *so* called that one!
Until next time...
Blessings!
Ricki Jill
OMGoodness! WHAT a party! Can you believe that I never read Harry Potter or watched any of the movies? Iknow- I know- I am from another planet or something. Your photos are spooky and fun- xo Diana

What a fun party! You covered all the details most cleverly, RJ. Fun time!!!
ReplyDeleteThe bouquet of flowers so pretty and steals the show. It is the perfect contrast to the dark things around it. Enjoy your day and have fun!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! Love the photos and decorations!
ReplyDeleteWe use to do a Harry Party every September on the first day of school. This year she didn't want one :( But I suspect in a year or two, she will want one again.
Oh my goodness. What a fun post. I was kinda sad that Snape's heroism only came out at the very end. I always had a soft spot for him for some reason.
ReplyDeleteThat pumpkin coffee with ice cream sounds wonderful.
I love it all! The snake wine stopper, the quaich, the lillies.....you're brilliant! We just got the Half Blood Prince DVD from the library (I've read all but the last book, and seen all the movies up to that one), so your timing is also excellent.
ReplyDeleteAnd hey, Rowling herself said that Slytherin isn't all villains, it's just the house for the highly ambitious wizards. :)
Oh, how sweet and fun.
ReplyDeleteOur street had a Halloween party last night. The theme was famous couples. Steve wore a chicken suit. I wanted to go as an egg, but we settled on Colonel Sanders.
Love the tea! This makes me want to read the books and see the movies. I read the first book and saw the first movie and not any more. I guess I should have hung in there. Love your tablesetting..it's spooky and romantic.
ReplyDeleteOh, RJ, you did a great job! I loved the fact you chose music (and appropriately too) to play prior to reading. Great job!
ReplyDeleteWow! You are a fan, and a knowledgeable one at that! Can I send a link to this on my FB? It's a family only FB and my sons and grandsons would love it.
ReplyDeleteAmazing tea party! Beautifully done!
Fabulous tea party. I'm always amazed with your creativity.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I am able to enjoy Halloween through blogland. I have been up to my eyeballs with a wedding so Halloween has been put on the back burner.
ReplyDeleteI love your decoration and esp. the snake cane or what is that? Pumpkin ice cream float, yummy. They say Pumpkin flavor has outsold apple this fall. Go Pumpkins.
I liked scrolling through the post made me feel like I was hanging out and having a good time with you
ReplyDeleteOh I loved this and the attention to detail with the music and all the sweet goodies. Thank you for visiting my little party too. Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful party.
ReplyDeleteI will admit I have not read nor seen the Harry potter books or movies. Or twilight series. I am one of the rare ones I guess.
I will let the music play as I hop to other parties.
What a wonderful interpretation of the Harry Potter stories - I love it!
