My Happy List
Rules:
1.   Grab my delightful button coding for your post above.
2.   Link-up a happy post.
3.   Visit other bloggers and enjoy!

Good Afternoon, my Sweeties!  Welcome to My Happy List!  Due to carpool obligations, I will probably post My Happy List in the early afternoons on Tuesdays from now on.  I hope y'all will understand and keep sharing the happy.

My Happy List

1.   I'm overwhelmed by the participation in my two link parties last week. Y'all have made me so happy!!!

2.   We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend with both daughters, and we didn't have Internet access, so it was nice to be unplugged for a few days! Happy!!!

3.   We've been enjoying some lovely end of season peaches lately.  These are the only four left, but they've been so, so good.  Yummy produce makes me so happy!

4.   Mr. Art @ Home bought me a prezzie because he's probably up to something I don't know about yet.  :/

Presents always make me happy!  But the only problem is that I don't know what it is.  Any ideas?  I thought I knew everything MacKenzie-Childs ever made.  Mr. Art @ Home said he bought it because he's never seen one like it (same here).

5.   Just look at these pretty sunflowers from the field down the street.  It's part of a community farm, and I think they're lovely!  Sunflowers always make me so happy!

Got to *love* sunflower {goodness}

6.   I'm going to cook a yummy recipe with the lavender Miss Angie sent me...from this book:

Stop by tomorrow for a post about it!

I hope you had a great weekend (long weekend for my American buddies).

Until next time...

Blessings!
Ricki Jill

  1. Since you weren't connected to the internet this weekend, you won't have looked at this post and you should since you were mentioned.

We had - still have - company for the long weekend so I haven't done much looking at blogs this weekend.

Happy for me was family together, warm weather, friends on the beach.

  2. Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend with your family. And I like your present- have no idea what it is used for though.

I was unplugged for the weekend, too. Felt kind of good after the first few hours of withdrawal. xo Diana

  3. Ricki Jill, I've never seen this one either, but I sure do like it. Can you put a plant in it? Use it for utensils in the kitchen or paint brushes in the studio. Love the B&W checked borders!

  4. Ricki Jill, the links are not showing. It took my link, but the linky format was very different this time. There was one other link that I could see when I linked, but don't see either of our links on your post. ~ Sarah

  6. Your happy list has inspired me to write one up too. I think your husband bought you a plant pot (they make good utensil holders or for many other uses too). I'm off to write my happy post too. I just took some photos of my new lunch bag as that is one of the things I'm happy about (you have to take the time to appreciate the small things - right?)

  7. I am so happy you had a good time with both girls! Sometimes a little break away from the internet is a good thing. What a beautiful gift.

  9. Oh so well deserved, a surprise gift for all you do for your family.
I would say it is a little flower pot because of the painting on it. Maybe a nice herb pot for the kitchen.
I love how light and happy you are sounding this school year;)
    Yay

  10. I think it would make a lovely pot plant holder. How nice of Mr. Art at home to spoil you

  14. The peaches look so delicious. When we lived in Ruston, Louisiana, they had the peach festival. Loved it! Can't wait to see what you cook up!

  16. Actually, Tuesdays works better for me! :)
I love peaches- I wish they grew well here, because I get cravings for fresh off-the-tree peaches like crazy sometimes.

And I think that's a decorative flower pot! Looks like it to me, anyway (is it large enough to lower a flower pot into?

  17. Hi Ricki! I'm catching up with your posts!! Work has been eating me up over the past weeks.

I also don't have an idea about the hubby's present :) But since it's from Mac Kenzie - Child, I love it already :). Perhaps it can be used as flower vase or a pen holder? :)

    Have a great week ahead!
