Good morning, Lovelies! I hope everyone is enjoying the end of summer. I know that officially there is a little more than a month left in summer, but I always consider it over once school starts back. My youngest will start school next week, and my oldest is currently in the middle of Sorority Recruitment at the University of Alabama. She's on Panhellenic Judiciary Board, and I think she's actually looking forward to classes starting next week.
My Happy List
1. I'm so happy to be home. We haven't been home very much at all, and I still need to go to Tuscaloosa some this week. *BUT* I'm so ready to get into a routine and stay home!
We had some sunshine this week, and were able to take the boat out. It only stormed during the early evening on Saturday and Sunday!
It's so nice to be home....
I'm looking forward to autumn days playing and smashing (my Smash Books) in the studio and painting.
2. New book releases make me happy, and I've been looking forward to this one. I think I'm third in line on the library's wait list:
Aimee Bender can write! I enjoyed The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake.
3. Back to school shopping is done! YAY!!! (Done for the little sister....she's the most difficult one to shop with!) I was very surprised at the sales. Usually I don't see prices like that until after Labor Day! *happy*
Here are some of Shelley's favorite looks for back to school. She won't be wearing the shorts to school; she'll be wearing capris.
What's making you happy? Link-up your happy posts below!
Until next time...
Blessings!

ReplyDeleteMy kids go back to school on Thursday and I'm wondering what I'm going to do with myself. I should make a list of things to do. Right?
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I've had a little snaffu on my blog. I love my domain. I'm sick about it, but it seems to be showing up in your side bar just fine, so that makes me happy!
Oh, I love the cute clothes! I hope you've enjoyed your day! I always love your happy list! Hugs!

ReplyDeleteOh, okay...I will give the Lemon Cake book some more time, as I have been trying to read it at bedtime for the past two nights with little luck!
ReplyDeleteCute post! We won't start school until after Labor Day (homeschool). But we are going to start getting organized for it next week!
ReplyDeleteHi Ricki Jill~ Love your list! We haven't been able to take the boat out for several weeks with the weather and it looks like this weekend's going to bring more rain. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a dry a fall :)
ReplyDeleteI love being at home too and want to get into a routine. The clothes are so cute! I remember those days of shopping for school. Are Ball jars on their way out?

ReplyDeleteRJ,
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy reading your happy list. I'm happy this week because my Austin kids are coming on Friday for a 10 day visit. My granddaughter always delights us and we have some fun days planned.
I start looking forward to the fall season this time of year, don't mean to rush things, but I do love the cooler days and evenings.
