Wit and Whimsy: Cheerful Wallpapered Foyer

Wednesday, January 9, 2013

I'm beginning to love wallpaper.  I was reading an article over at BH&G, and I think that a foyer or entry is a great place for wallpaper because no one lives in their entry....it's simply a "pass through" space.

I know I featured wallpaper last week, but I couldn't help myself.  This cheerful foyer is so welcoming!

I love how the homeowner has a beautiful bouquet on the dresser, and only carries yellow umbrellas.  I could *so* be her friend!  :D  Did you notice the brass light fixture?  I featured brass a couple of weeks ago.  You can read the article about wallpaper on BH&G's website here.

Until next time...

Blessings!

  3. This wallpaper does make a statement for the small foyer. I so like the composition balance of the chest and mirror. And the touch of yellow is good. Altogether, it says, "I knew you were coming and I'm so glad to see you!"

  4. Argh! That foyer makes me not love my "Stand in this vacant space where you are so distracted by the view into every other place!"

  6. It IS cheerful.. Gorgeous color. The flowers are lovely there :)

I'm beginning to see more wallpaper here on the west coast thankfully, as I really think it adds so much to a room. My powder room is waiting for me to paper it up;) can't wait!

  7. Ricki Jill,
I love wallpaper too, and this one is very cheerful and pretty. It's interesting what you said about an entry being a "pass through" place....so true. That would be a perfect place to display wallpaper.

I love the wallpaper in this foyer. It is a delicious colour and looks so pretty in such a small area.
