This month's flower is the aster. Asters are the September birth flower, and have long been considered magical. When an aster's leaves are burned, it is thought that the smoke drives away evil serpents. Asters have a flower meaning of patience, love, daintiness and good luck. A single aster is considered a love charm if given to a crush. :D
This is a little arrangement that my mom gave me for my birthday. It has asters, mums, and azaleas in it. I think it's cute!
This arrangement was in our breakfast room last fall. You can barely see the pink asters in it. Mums and asters are known as the flowers of autumn.
Asters come in a variety of colors. I like the deep purple ones!
Our internet has been off for most of the day. It is now homework time, and I won't be able to blog hop until tomorrow afternoon.
Until next time...
Blessings!

Hi Ricki Jill,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for adding these sweet arrangements. They are all so cute. :) Can you believe I couldn't find one little bouquet with a single aster in it?... I'm sure they were all snapped up for FCF! :P LOL!
Thank you Friend!! :)
Have a fabulous weekend!

Mums and asters are so pretty for fall arrangements. The variety of colors makes it easy to find a color or colors to use in decorating. I will be getting some soon for the front porch. Hope the homework session went well. --------------Shannon
