I went on a field trip to Chelsea Antiques with my sorority sisters. Here are some of the things I liked there:
Sherbet glasses
Holly Hobbie pitcher...I had a Holly Hobbie lunch box when I was in fourth grade!
Pillsbury Doughboy cookie jar....I want to giggle just looking at it!
Fiestaware!
Jadeite sugar canister
Royal Norfolk mod dishes
Glass insulators
Nice landscape
Vintage deviled egg dish with matching salt and pepper shakers
We had lunch at the Town House Tea Room after antiquing. I did not buy anything, but I do have one regret: Can you guess what I wish I had bought? I will let you know what I regret not buying later. I just want to see how well y'all know me!
Until next time...
Blessings!
Ricki Jill
Hmmm...I think you regret not buying the fiestaware or the jadeite. I love that jadeite piece. I also really like the insulators. I need to think of a craft to do with them.
ReplyDeleteOh, I wish I could find one of the Pillsbury dough boy cookie jars. I have the doll on my mixer right now. Do you mind telling me how much it was to give me an idea of what one would cost! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHi Little RJ! Those are some fine looking things! Now what did you buy? :)
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
The blue sherbet glasses....I almost bought them yesterday. RJ...so glad you went on our "road trip". It was fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what yoiu regret not buying but for me it would be the devilled egg dish and the fiesta ware, love them both, I have glasses like that,

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to spend the day with friends. All lovely items, but I bet you regret not getting the Holly Hobbie little pitcher. It's so sweet and brings those fourth grade memories flooding back!
ReplyDeleteLet me know if you found fabulous deals at White Flowers………

The French Hutch
For ME it would have been the SHERBET Glasses...I LOVE that color!
ReplyDeleteEverything was enticing so It's hard to choose...MAYBE you are regretting not taking the JADEITE OR the Deviled egg plate???
Thank you for bringing us along...
Will you be going BACK for it???
Have a wonderful week,
Donna
Good Morning Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteOh what a fun trip. I love everything. I would have snatched up that jadeite sugar canister. Love that green.
Now you love to paint, and I know you love art, that painting was gorgeous, had a wonderful frame. Could be. But then you did love the Holly Hobby pitcher, memories of childhood. Could be...Bit those sherbert glasses sure would make for a gorgeous table setting. Yep I am betting it was the sherbert glasses. So get back down there and go gettem.
Have a glorious day sweet friend. I love it when you share. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
Nope, I have no idea what you would regret. May be the sherbet glasses? I love the sugar container and the deviled eggs serving dish! I love deviled eggs and that is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI would have to say the sherbert glasses. This is how i deduced it
ReplyDeleteFirst, I always put my favorite things picture first on my blog,
second the color, third as much as you love to set a good table and fourth I remember having a convo with you about Shabby Chic interiors and how much you loved Sharon Osbournes space, and these would look amazing in her home
So there ya have it, LOL
Amy
These are all such lovely finds and the luncheon sounds wonderful too. Personally I adore the sherbert glasses and landscape's frame ~ the glasses remind me of a set my grandmother had only in cranberry.

I bet you enjoyed yourself. Pretty finds.
ReplyDeleteOoOoOo....I'm drooling over the Jadeite canister. Gorgeous! I'm glad you had a fun time. :)
ReplyDeleteI drool over Fiestaware and Jadeite. I don't have much myself, so I drool a lot over other peoples. (They don't invite me much anymore!)
ReplyDeleteOh god, we used to have that same Pillsbury cookie jar. The Dough Boy chuckled whenever we took the lid off. Then he took to chuckling randomly when no one was even in the kitchen, maybe when the sun hit it, we never could figure it out. I finally gave him to the Salvation Army!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun items! I wish I had room for all the things I would like to buy. I already have my Mom's kitchen items on display.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had such a good time!
ReplyDeleteMy Holly Hobbie lunch box is somewhere in my attic and I have that exact Pillsbury Dough Boy cookie jar in my basement. My grandmother gave him to me long ago.
Shopping in the company of the best girl friends is the best. I love the landscape painting and the Holly Hobbie pitcher.
ReplyDeleteSherbet glasses!! but I cheated, I went to your most recent post first, but I still think I would have guessed them!! Loved the fiestawear too, but not so much you!! Just saying...
ReplyDeleteLOOOOVe the Fiesta Ware and the sugar cannister! The landscape is pretty great, too. :)

Well, it certainly looks like a fun place! I would be hyperventilating over the Fiesta dishes, but I'm thinking you probably regret not buying either the sherbet glasses or the Holly Hobby pitcher.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful weekend, Ricki Jill!
