This week I read Country Living Cottage Style by Marie Proeller Hueston. Basically it is a book with some favorite cottage homes that have appeared in the pages of Cottage Living Magazine over the years as well as other books published by Country Living. I think Hueston did a great job choosing which homes and rooms to feature in the book, and I thought it was a delight to read. I knew with a cover like that it must be a special book! What I like most about this book is that it features several home tours, including this one:
I love this dining room from a California cottage! It is timeless. Most of the homes featured do have that quality about them. Because many of the homes have been featured previously, I would suggest you check it out from the library first if you own several books published by Country Living. If you don't, order it! This one is a keeper!
I also read Clockwork Angel {again} because the second book in Cassandra Clare's Infernal Devices series, Clockwork Prince, was released this week. I have been very excited about this book, and I cannot wait to start reading it this weekend.
Until next time...
Happy reading!
Ricki Jill

Very pretty dining room, but our family certainly wouldn't fit in there. The mixture of fibers/colors works well in this setting.
ReplyDeleteHi Jill. I love Country Living magazine too so I'm sure this book will be beautiful. The photo tells me I will love everything inside. I will look for it.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you are getting ready to welcome your daughter home for the Christmas break. Enjoy your weekend.
