{Not. Really.}
But I did paint a kitchen from a home in Milan that has some harvest gold appliances in it. This kitchen appeals to me for some reason... twee wallpaper border and all! I would love a hot cappuccino made with the coffee press on the counter.

Here are some close-ups:
LOL don't you just *love* the early seventies harvest gold blender?
I am so happy I finally finished this painting. There was way too much detail in this one, and I don't think I will be painting on linen in the near future, either.

ReplyDeleteWow, beautiful! I even like the harvest gold.
ReplyDeleteRicki, Gorgeous work! You are so very talented. Painting from a photo in a magazine is never easy, but you pulled it off!
ReplyDeleteSo wonderful, Ricki Jill! It's a little like stepping back in time for me, because I did have a harvest gold kitchen many moons ago. You are a wonderful painter!

Oh my goodness this painting is gorgeous!! I agree you are so talented!
ReplyDeleteAll I can say Ricki, is BEAUTIFUL! I admire your art talent. When one has zero art talent, one truly appreciates those who do. I am the one.....
ReplyDeleteOkay I love the chandelier. I wonder if that harvest gold blender works better than my stainless steel version....probably, eh?
ReplyDeleteHi Ricki! I love the color combinations featured. And btw you have a new blog header, i love it! Fits well your personality
ReplyDeleteI keep going back and looking at the painting, seeing something new each time.
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful, what a talent you have!
Was it commissioned by the owner of the kitchen?
I had no idea that you painted. I love it and the chandelier is just so divine. You are truly a wonderful and talented artist.
ReplyDeleteWOW Ricki Jill! This painting is absolutely stunning and jaw-dropping. That chandelier looks almost real. You truly are an amazing artist.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you my dear friend!

Ha, I married into a harvest gold kitchen-- the 33 yr old fridge just went kaput. (it was in the office not the kitchen) So I have a love/hate relationship with harvest gold.
ReplyDeleteThe paintings are beautiful and the kitchen looks very cozy.
:o)
I can't believe you painted that Ricki Jill. You have such a talent. Every time I go to Macaroni Grill, I tell my husband that I want a kitchen like that someday. It's so European and cozy. I do like the colors in this picture too.

It is so interesting, I kept discovering new things that I had missed! My favorite type of painting, when I find something new each time I look!! Great job lady!
ReplyDeleteHey now, my kitchen and dining room are harvest gold (although I call it "Tuscon Gold" to sound classy, since I painted it). :D

Oh my goodness, this must have been so much work. You are extremely talented. You have definitely brought back harvest gold in a very chic way. It truly does look like an Italian villa. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIt turned out gorgeous, RJ. Everyone in Wednesday morning class is cheering for you. Nancy and Sherry say hi, btw.
ReplyDeleteI love it. I love all the detail, but I can see why it drove you crazy getting it finished. There is something about the way you have framed the kitchen by the doorway that just draws my eye in.
ReplyDeleteLove it and the detail. Beautiful!
