I want to thank all of you for your kind emails. They meant more to me than you will ever know. I think stress brought on my asthma attack, and I am trying very hard to get it under control. I am much better today after having a breathing treatment yesterday. I am way behind in all my chores, and I will try to catch-up with y'all over the weekend. I will make time this weekend for fun, too, I promise!
Since I have been in a dark mood this week, I decided to look at some goth-looking floral arrangements. I will try my hand at one over the weekend just for fun. :D
Do you like these? Or do you think they are depressing?
How will your centerpiece look for Halloween?
Until next time...
Blessings!

I love these, the one with the cream and red and black feathers I love.I'm not sure about a Halloweeen one, i usually just add some spiders to my fall center peice. You know my worse asthma attacks came during stress, my mums funeral was when I was diagnosed. It truly manifests physically our grief and stress.Be well my friend.
ReplyDeleteI hope you continue to feel better. My favourites are the first and third ones. I am from Jamaica but I have been learning a lot about Halloween from Blogs. Take care and all the best to you.
ReplyDeleteI think they look great, I especially like the first one. I think its a really fun idea for Halloween. I hope your all better soon. Asthma is not fun. Please take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness, that was not much of a break, you don't have to get back to me, you are so good about returning comments if you miss some no one will care, just relax and take care of yourself! I love the spider arrangement!

ReplyDeletei have been worried about you, praying for a speedy recovery and missing your bloggy awesomeness.

Great to hear that you are fine Ricki. Happy weekend and good luck over the chores :)
ReplyDeleteHey there, hope your are feeling better. These would be cool for Halloween:)
ReplyDeleteI really sort of like them all! Especially the ones in the pewter vases! I am so glad you are feeling better. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteOkay love these especially the last. It looks so simple with the fake black flowers so it wouldn't be expensive to do but the effect is awesome. I don't know how I missed your last post but I feel like a big turd. I hope you are feeling better you poor thing. I am a bad blogger friend. My blog reading has been sporadic at best as our week or weeks have been so busy with doctors appts. and tests. Thankfully all turned out pretty well. But back to you I hope you are back to your old self. It is the weekend so hopefully you can relax and enjoy. Take care Ricki!
ReplyDeleteGlad to know that you're feeling a little better, I like the Martha Stewart arrangements but not the others, too macabre!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous collection of gothic inspired flower arrangements! So sorry that you have been having trouble, it's in the air, I had to take my little one in for a breathing treatment this week.
ReplyDeleteI love the white roses with all the spiders and snakes, it makes me itch and because of the white dosn't seem depressing and then you notice all the bugs and get creepy just like halloween. I also really like the Martha Steward ones but I think the containers are what is making those so pretty.
Can't wait to see what you come up with! Take care of yourself.

The one with the spiders on it....I like it, but it's freakin me out!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a good spot for fresh flowers!
Glad you're feeling better.
I am not a fan for dark anything, especially at Halloween. I love flowers and feel they should be pretty and uplifting. Gothic is not my thing! Those arrangements shown were very creative, but no....LOL!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you are feeling better. Another friend of mine is having a bad time with asthma this year. Although in our neck of the woods, the weather is changing very quickly from warm to cold. Just remember to take care of you first and foremost. Rest is probably the best. Forget the housework. It will still be there next week!
These are awesome. I guess it's true...say it with flowers!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better. I have asthma, too, and have to do breathing treatments at home when I have problems. The mold that comes with fall is a trigger for me and colds as well. Take good care of yourself!
XO,
Jane
I love the juxtaposition of beautiful, vibrant, living flowers with death and decay- that's just FUN! I can't wait to see what you come up with, but do take it easy and let your body recover. The stress of asthma attacks is exhausting!
ReplyDeleteHi I am sorry you have been feeling bad. Asthma can kick your A. I love all the arrangements esp. the first one. The white roses with bugs is perfect I could use it on my table for tomorrows witchy party. I will see what they have at the grocery store. Hope you are enjoying our beautiful weather. Happy Fall,
ReplyDeleteKathy
I think they are all pretty cool and unique!
ReplyDeleteThese arrangements are very unique. Jess has a black and white vase with black roses for Halloween, and it looks really cool.
