Emeril Is Not My Friend!

Monday, May 23, 2011

My in-laws brought us some fresh shrimp from New Orleans, and my husband wanted me to make one of Emeril's recipes using the shrimp.

The recipe is Emeril's Shrimp and Asparagus Risotto, and you can find it here on Good Morning America's website.

Twenty-six ingredients and three hours later, I got this:

{Just kidding, Emeril.  You are still my friend.  The recipe was easy (although long), and it tasted absolutely sinful.}

This recipe is truly worth it, y'all.

Until next time...

  1. Twenty-six ingredients would probably have been a big "Stop Sign" for me! But, it sure does look good.

  4. I'm not that good in cooking. And if I have to purchase 26 ingredients I am sure I will forget to buy a few. Thanks for your comment on my blog. You have uplifted my day. I have been riding a roller coaster of emotions from happy to sad, and then happy and sad. But mostly happy.

  8. Hi, Ricki,

    I'm a minimal ingredient girl. My mom cooked simply and my husband does not like weird dishes - a real meat and potatoes guy - so I don't like to experiment. My sister, however, likes to try new recipes and doesn't mind numerous, unusual ingredients that later get thrown out. hee hee Anyway, you tried, right?

    Glad to visit always.

  9. Haha! That is so true of "famous chef" recipes, they use so many ingredients! I still love them though, sounds yummy!

  14. I love risotto, even though you have to stir it forever. My daughter and I are doing the healthy eating thing right now, so this will have to wait a while for me. I'm sure it is delish!

  15. It looks yummy and you could probably make it with only 24 ingredients.

  16. I just saw a simple recipe for risotto on Americas test kitchens. You did not have to stir it constantly!
